Tom Hicks had ASKED/REQUESTED Rick parry to resign. As he only holds 50% he can't just sack him apparently, so obviously, Gillette will come in and say the opposite. Not sure if it's good or bad for Liverpools sake at this moment though to be honest.

Slight guess he'll say NO though.

Not bad news in my mind.

Parry has not resigned, he has been asked to resign.

Hicks can not do this without Gillett's consent. Parry has clearly sided with DIC and Gillett in this saga, so perhaps now Parry has got nothing to lose and can help try to force Hick's out. Assuming Gillett does want to sell to DIC.

Much like the DIC statement, this could just hasten the process.

If we had someone in the club who could have some little say in GH matter, it was Parry and Moores. One is gone, not long before the other is kicked out as well.

Yes, probably. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. A chief executive only has the authority to act on the board's behalf on a day to day basis. apparently Parry wrote a letter to Hicks requesting that Moores be allowed in the boardroom for the Arsenal away game as he was such a longstanding servant to the club.

Apparently Hicks replied along the lines of "Fuck off, its my club."

Parry has proved time and time again, in areas of promoting the club, selling the club, buying (not buying) players, relations between manager and chairmen, relations with fans, and ticket distribution that he is inept.

How this man has lasted this long I'll never know.

Its no major loss. Strange timing yet again but the man was shizzle at what he done. It should in no way affect the reds on the pitch but it pushes us further away from DIC as they have calmed down yet agian because of the trouble in the backroom of the club.
