As a poster ..... I deplore the Kuyt comparisons, sick of hearing and seeing them. As I said the other day, he's fuck all like Kuyt, he's Danny Ings.

While I agree, and comparisons like this are tiresome...

...it is still fun imagining him with a pot noodle haircut.

High praise indeed :P

Been very pleasantly surprised so far. Doubt he'll ever be a starter in a top side, but he's a must start based on his performances so far.

Only thing that has been pleasing. Not sure we can afford to rest Sturridge in league. That's a concern.

Wasn't sure about this signing but he's been very good.

Must be a bit of a downer for him to have to prove himself to another manager.
Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

Disappointing.

He's got the kop onboard after only a handful of appearances. I'm sure he'll be fine.

Love his work ethic, also I love his movement - he's one of the few players right now with an understanding of how to get into a position to attack the ball.

You could say that about a few players really. Ings will always be wanted/needed by a manager that loves energy in his strikers.

He's brilliant at killing the ball with his first touch in mid-air, its weird, his first touch in receiving lofted balls is much better than receiving it on the ground. And just to add, if the Klopp rumours are true, I think Ings will flourish the most alongside firmino.

His goal is probably being overlooked given recent events. He's worthy of a place in our squad for the best part of a decade, reliable back up at least and he's going to get better.

If he carries on the way he has since he got into the team, no manager will be able to ignore him.  He's in on merit, scoring goals and has really been our brightest spark amidst the the poor performances and results in recent weeks.

Top bloke and a cracking player too. Don't really see the comparison with Dirk beyond working hard - Danny has a far sweeter first touch, more pace and is better at actually carrying the ball. Reminds me of Craig Bellamy more than anyone else.

So many recent signings look so nervous and under pressure. Just enjoy it lads. Exactly what ings is doing.

Funny you should mention Fowler, he does remind me of him.

Maybe not got the natural talent to reach a status of such immortality, but his passion, touch, clever movement and finishing ability are reminiscent of Robbie.

Knew he'd do well here. Top lad.

Very impressed by his play, biggest area of improvement for him to make imo is in getting on the ball more often in buildup play. Not necessarily dropping deep all the time to pick it up, but in working the channels and demanding the ball when he's in space, even if its not in a position to immediately threaten goal

I expect that'll come soon enough though, as he gets more used to the team around him and particularly Sturridge near him (hopefully)

Surprised by how good his first touch can be, been unfortunate for 2 incredible pieces of midair control to not become goals.

Not ruled out of both games, hopefully means its a small knock

SSN says its his ankle btw

What was keeping him out at the beginning of last season?

Taking comments on face value on how we are going to be expcted to play and the attitude that will have to drive that, something tells me Dings may just revel even more than he has shown already, under this new management regime.
