The sad thing is, there are a few City fans on the internet that are comparing this to Hillsborough. As in why are the FA not investigating an old offence, when we managed to get one after all these years.

Sad, really.

I bet on Blue Loon they're already talking about taking this to UEFA. And then FIFA. And then the European Court of Human Rights. And then the International Court of Justice in the Hague.

What game was this? Weirdly no recollection on this at all! I'm getting old.  :o
Strangely- me neither.
Fucking header though, eh!?
Nice hanging ball and a thumper straight past the goalie.

EDIT: Aahh I see- New Year's Eve 2016. Explains it.
What a beautiful, almost cushioned header though.

Just had a trundle through the Bluemoon thread on it. It's incredible how they've painted themselves into the 'hard done by' corner on all fronts really, isn't it? This lot literally won the lottery with their stadium, then won the lottery again when Shinawatra flogged them to Sheik Mansour, and they've done well to flex their economic muscles right up to the line in relation to the UEFA FFP rules. They should be applauding themselves at their audacity and laughing at everyone else as they count the trophies they've won.

Human nature is pretty amazing really.

I think the problem that we (Liverpool supporters) are having with understanding them is we simply don’t live in the same reality* as them. It’s hard to relate when that occurs.

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. A CRIME. DEMANDING CUSTODIAL SENTENCES.

Why did you make a settlement?

THIS IS AN INFAMY COMPARABLE TO PAEDOPHILIA.

OK. And you made a financial settlement because ".........."  (fill in gap)

THIS IS INDUSTRIAL ESPIONAGE AND REQUIRES PUNISHMENT FROM THE APPROPRIATE SPORTS BODIES

Yep, got you. And so your lawyers and Liverpool's lawyers settled on financial relief out of court because ....

If it wasn't bad enough for the police and the public courts seven years ago it doesn't suddenly become a matter for the Old Bailey when you're 22 points behind in the league.

Authorities beg to differ. They allowed us to settle it out of court. If it was that serious, they wouldn't allow that. It's some employee using his login irresponsibly and negligently, that's all.
Was fucking 7 or so years ago! What bearing does it have on anything today? They mean to tell us that about 7 years ago we did something unimaginable, BY allegedly looking at fucking some player that isn't even here anymore and that ultimately, is altering the course of history and destroying the world as we know it?

They're burning up from the inside over 22 pts AND the fact that the media coverage is (rightly), this season at least- favorable to usward.

I mean, the fact they settled for £1m should be the biggest hint that this wasn't really that big a deal  ;D

Their anger as a fan base made it a big deal - to them.

Anyway, in other news, Guardiola confirming today that Sterling is out 'for weeks', all very vague of course.

Clearly a delayed action injury caused by Gomez's shove. Expect Joe to face some serious jail time. Could have killed poor Raheem.

We found Coutinho on their scouting system so we could buy him then sell him four years later to fund the purchases of VVD and Alisson, thus enabling us to win the League. Therefore this is a #TaintedTitle.

Didn’t City talk behind Liverpool’s back when they hired Rodolfo Borrell back in the day? I can’t bother with City fans. The Blue Moon Liverpool thread was funny for a while, but they’re just too much the pathetic morons. Small club, pathetic fans. I wouldn’t say I’d like Man Utd to come back as a force again, but at least there is some respect to give them as a club and fanbase.

It’s a fascinating one. The staff involved are ex Man City employees who presumably had knowledge of the data and the structure of the data. Does the Times article provide details of what was accessed and how? Genuinely curious... but not enough to pay a subscription.

Imagine what this lot would be like if they ever suffered a real injustice. I think the entire franchise would spontaneously combust.

I think they've just about reached their event horizon now. There's no coming back for them. They've totally lost it.

As far as can be ascertained, Abu Dhabi tech support forgot to lock their accounts when they left. The network manager must have been shit at his job. They found out that their passwords and log-ins still worked and so accessed their accounts. They should focus on the fact that a multi billion £ business had a crap IT support.

The allegations in the Times are a little different they are insinuating that the login and password belonged to Rob Newman who is a current employee of City. I think you are correct about the IT system though. Presumably a well run IT system would spot the same credentials being used in different locations at the same time.
