Am I right in thinking that those who missed on Genk but have (won't be used but Sevilla, Porto, Man City, Roma) Napoli, Belgrade, PSG, Munich, Porto, Barcelona, Napoli (7/8 this season and last) will get a shot at a few hundred tickets for Salzburg if it's 1.5k allocation?

Yes. Have a look at my post at the bottom of page 1 of this thread.

same, doesnt look like the club are moving forward with 100% collection so just a random selection for salzburg like genk !

No point though is there, until they insist that ticket holder is the membership/season ticket card holder name ticket purchased under.

Until then a few randoms to try and catch people out.

We didn't get Genk yesterday but have booked for this and hope we get tickets. Having Genk would have been great but we went to Maribor on others STs as we didn't qualify so we knew the risks. Still glad we went.

9 of us booked on this, some straight to Salzburg, some via Vienna and myself and a few others via Munich.

Looks like about a 1.5K allocation so everyone with Genk will be guaranteed and then the rest in the non guaranteed 2nd sale.

Will be cold and a big shock to the system for those that are going to Qatar the following week!

Do you reckon, or will they do Genk and Napoli guaranteed?

Tweaked slightly from my post on the previous page Kev :

Those with Genk and Napoli in the guaranteed 1st sale, which will include you as got Genk on your own card, and then 7/8 in the non guaranteed 2nd sale (those that qualified but couldn’t get Genk), up to 1K will qualify for around 500 tickets so a 1 in 2 chance. They won’t use the Kiev season because they don’t need to.

Will see you next week mate.

Nah mate, unfortunately, the honest soul that i am, didn't buy Napoli, as said id never go there again after the last two.

So hopefully getting Salzburg (a big if) should sort me out again. At least i got Genk. I boooked Salzburg trip last night.

My only chance is getting one in the home end, but I am not sure if that is even a real opportunity. Anybody knows, if Salzburg have sold all their tickets for this as a package (all 3 group games)? In which case, I obviously shouldn't be making any travel plans.

Spoke with some Salzburg fans when we played them, and one said they sold out the three game package before the opponents were even drawn. Not surprising since they are in their first Champions League attempt.

Mate was on holidays in Salzburg for their opening game v Genk(6-2), picked 2 up together for €37 each a few hours before the game on Viagogo, 2 mobile tickets, I know it was just Genk and we are obviously a bigger attraction than them but still...

Yep my bad Mis read it

Begs the question why though? Just more manageable numbers?

Personally think should always be a ballot when too many with certain credits but hey ho

That better be just a ballot for the wheelchair tickets. Certainly reads as if it is the usual scrap for the non-guaranteed sale

That's a very confusing sales criteria, think they need to reword that to be clearer re. the ballot.

Looking forward to this anyway. Anyone seen any dirt cheap (and decent) hotels?

Club have since updated the last line of the announcement to clear up any confusion.

Should we receive more qualifying applications for wheelchair bays than available, a ballot will take place.

No, they've just put out an initial message about selling criteria so people know if they might qualify when making plans I guess.

Even if they held a few back, which I don't think they did. Won't matter, there's around 1000 with 7 as 2000 was last year's lowest allocation

Or they're playing the game which LFC makes us play. It is essentially a closed shop so you have to.

Given that the club have already released a pre-sales notice for this, and we know exactly how many tickets we have for this fixture.

Given that members sales start on 14tth, surely there's nothing to stop the club selling this next week or the week after rather than waiting for the standard 2 weeks before

I know how it works but I was there in Napoli this year & last, it’s embarrassing to see so few there whilst selling all the tickets, as I said those who bought and didn’t go should be ashamed they are the problem !

No sorry, the system is the problem. If you ‘do the right thing’ you don’t get a Genk ticket and someone who doesn’t gets it instead.

I went on someone elses ticket to Napoli. Not good for either of us. But we all have to play the game.

Ah well looks like it was me being insanely stupid then. Announce the pre-sale details on 24th October, with everything known, so why not get this sale out of the way, before the carnage of members sales

Personally, as it would guarantee my ticket as attending any I've got a ticket for, I'd fully support an initial sale for those on 7 credits using their own card  ::) :D

However, won't happen, so just announce the bloody sale date LFC so I can block the time out as a "meeting" at work!
