The great Liverpool mayor and council have now disclosed they have changed their standing and will borrow and lend directly 240 million pounds TO a privately owned business, EFC
A business that is in fact owned by a Russian oligarch, whose dubious background and funding of that business was subject to a panorama investigation and programme highlighting major concerns.... AND Yet our Everton supporting mayor is pushing for our local council to borrow hundreds of millions of pounds against our taxes in effect, to assist this Russian and his beloved Everton....... Oh, this is the same mayor who writes to the premier league wanting a police investigation regarding his beloved Everton selling a player because he wants more money for the transfer!!!!!!!!!
And looking at the bigger picture. The council limited our expansion to 60k because of transport infrastructure and impact on local area and residents, this being a stadium with 360 degree N, S, East and West access and egress.
The new stadium they are willing to fund, for the mayor's beloved Everton, 55 to 60k, is restricted by the sea and therefore has 180 degree access and egress...... Meaning all traffic and congestion will be limited to the North of the the city as everyone has to leave within half the area accessible to anfield. This in my view makes that impact to the north of the city equivalent to anfield being a 110k stadium.
This bias and misuse of council funding streams and risk bearing placed upon local tax payers is utterly scandalous and borderline corruption or misuse of public office...... Take it very similar to how Russia works then

What Russian? I thought they were owned by an Iranian-British guy, Moshiri?

There are issues with the council using its good credit score to borrow for a private business, but to link that to Anfield is a stretch and is just a bit bitter.

The issue around the panorama investigation was conflict with Premier league rules, in that it appeared the money Moshiri used to buy Everton had actually come via a financial solicitor in the Isle of man owned by arsenal owner the Russian Usmonov.... And the money to Moshiri was in fact from Usmonov, so was he the man behind Everton purchase and potentially the sleeping owner.

It's not meant to be bitter, but the mayor was happy to limit our expansion possibilities to protect tax payers.whilst now apparently utilising those same tax payers to borrow huge amounts for his personal loyalties

There is no link between limiting the amount of supporters the surrounding area of Anfield can handle and Everton's next ground. It's ridiculous to try and link the two when there are enough valid points to question about the loan.
