Maybe that should be the slogan for universal healthcare. "Affordable healthcare, in case you get shot."

Why doesn't the US have universal healthcare? Is it the fear of 'Socialism'? If that's the case and the American public are mad enough to believe that then you have to think that they are getting what they want, which is a society in which healthcare isn't a right.
Thinking is overrated.

From my year in the USA that's pretty much what I surmised. Reagan really did a number on them.

Manso-Perez and his son were walking by Popp's apartment on their way to wash clothes. They declined the offer of a beer.

Popp then asked where they were from and the father and son replied Puerto Rico.

The son later told police that Popp replied: "Oh, that's why you don't speak English. You're Puerto Rican."

Manso-Perez and his son continued to the basement where they got the washing machine started. As they climbed the stairs back to their apartment, Popp stood over them on a landing. He was armed with a rifle.

Couple of days late but Australia went through the Port Arthur massacre and invoked similar strict laws as well.  It's just so hard to watch from outside the US.  Another thing is how the 2nd Amendment is quoted consistently and continuously, but doesn't the wording state that it's a "Well regulated Militia"?  Who the fuck is ensuring the "well-regulated" part?  You can't have one without the other.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/trending/gun-that-looks-like-a-smartphone-concealed-carry-america-1.3511444

I just can't help but laugh at some of this

Quote
A Minnesota startup is making headlines today for its novel solution to the age-old problem of "children being frightened by strangers with guns."

Don't take the guns away, just make them easier to hide

Quote
"In today's day and age, carrying a concealed pistol has become a necessity,"

Wouldn't that be due to the amount of peope shooting each other? With Guns.

Quote
"Smartphones are EVERYWHERE, so your new pistol will easily blend in with today's environment," the site further explains. "From soccer moms to professionals of every type, this gun allows you the option of not being a victim."

Shoot before you get shot. It's the only way.

Quote
Kjellberg, who holds a concealed carry permit in the state of Minnesota, said that he was walking through a restaurant with his regular, gun-shaped gun when a child became frightened.

"I walked towards the restroom and a little child, a boy about 7, saw me and said, 'Mommy, mommy, that guy's gotta gun,'" he told KARE11. "The whole restaurant of course turns and stares at you and I thought, 'There's just gotta be something better to do than this.'"

 ;D

Quote
"In America, we have lots of children in contact with pistols already," said Kjellberg in response to the criticism during an interview with NBC News on Tuesday. "There's been quite a few incidents long before my product came along.

"For me, it's not the gun. It's the people," he continued. "So if you have a pistol and you have children anywhere near you, it's your responsibility to lock that stuff up and keep it away from children."

No, you're completely irresponsible and should have the children taken off you until you remove the weapons you fucking dickhead.

Sometimes numbers can be cold but that is stark.

The first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem. America seems like it's nowhere near that yet.

I hadn't even though of that  ;D

It's got the dimensions of an S7, and in the heat of the moment, may look like one. So if someone pulls out an S7, pretending to shoot someone, then gets shot, they've only got themselves to blame  :D

I have no doubt this will be seen in a court room in a little over a years time.

Also the fact that it is half the price of an S7 is fucking scandalous aswell.

It's more of the idea the system would cost more via taxes and people don't want to spend their money on other people's care. They don't want to pay for poor people's care because in their mind the poor and minorities are abusing the welfare system taking away their "hard earned money".

I know people who currently have no health insurance because they refuse to go on state or government plans. They think they are better than the poor folk or minorities and don't want to be seen as a one of them. So fucking stupid. I work in healthcare and just this week, a long term unemployed man avoided going on a government plan for years because he felt "bad" about it. He now has terminal cancer which could have been easily avoided by getting checked out years ago instead of putting it off. He didn't want to pay the $1000-$2000 (crazy price to begin with) for the exam without insurance and it would have been free under the government plan.

Another legit reason to shoot someone "He was pointing a mobile phone at me your honour...I just couldn't take the chance "
If they want to make a gun look like something else. How about a dildo ?

1 The Adults should be less inclined to wave it around in public
2 The Adults should be reminded to hide it in that good place the kids dont know about.
3 The kids wont want to touch or play with it even if they do find it.
4 On a certain level they both represent the same thing anyway.

They both went in high, that's factually correct, both tried to play the ball at height.  Doku with his foot, Mac Allister with his chest.

From my experience, listening and talking to Americans, that's more or less it. For some mad reason, anything remotely related to a socialist society has them either shitting themselves or up in arms about it. It's puzzling.

But it really shouldn't be puzzling. When you get a chance, read Werner Sombart's 'Why Is There No Socialism in the United States'.

The below link has many of his excerpts from his piece along with some commentary on the excerpts.

You cannot call overseas Liverpool supporters glory hunters. We’ve won one trophy this decade. If they’re glory hunters, they’re really bad ones. They’re actually journey hunters. It’s the journey and the story. Something about Liverpool has grabbed them." - Neil Atkinson (May, 2019)

"So don’t think about it – just play football.” - Jurgen Klopp
