That first pint of water in the morning after not having had a drink since going to bed.
That first crap in the morning when you're first up so there's no queue for the bathroom.
Looking in the mirror and thinking you don't look bad/you look great.
When things work.
Remembering that life is bigger and much more beautiful than all the stressful stuff.
Matchday.
Liverpool winning. Liverpool winning well.
Other people's lists.
This thread. :-)

The new washing machine getting delivered at half 7 this morning, meaning I could get it installed and drop the old one at the tip by half 8, so the rest of the day is free to do what I want.

Hearing my two kids playing and running around, the youngest has been reallly rough all week and had to be kept home from pre-school, its great to see him fit and back to his old self.

finding money

I was going to say - putting a coat on you haven't worn in a while and finding a fiver or a tenner in the pocket.

Also:

Walking into a busy, warm pub on a cold winter's evening.
The little rush that I get, no matter how many hundred odd times I've done it, when I walk up the steps into the stand at Anfield before the match.
Seeing a girl's boobs for the first time.
The first sip of a pint of Guinness.
The lights going down in a cinema.

it's got nothing to do with creating songs or banners or whatever. People can do whatever the fuck they like in that regard.

it's about accepting a young manager is here in difficult circumstances, is trying his best and it's going to take time to get things right. It's about showing the STOMACH FOR THR FIGHT that we demand in the players every week. It's about not crying like a little kid and getting your nickers in a twist the slight sign of something going wrong.

I'm not talking about you specifically, I'm talking about all of us. We all have a responsibility to buck up and get the fuck on with supporting our club like grown men and women and not like little kids. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

It remains to be seen if things go to plan but lets wait and see eh? Let's give the man and give the players a fucking chance to get it right. Lets stop crying like a little bitch every 5 seconds.

As far as I'm concernd if you don't believe in that then you can fuck right off because the club right now needs to be together and solid from top to bottom. The performances on the pitch are just part of that.

Sorry for being blunt

When you're set to do something that you know you probably shouldn't and then in the end make the smart decision not to. God that sounds philosophical, I've only decided to stay in but I know I will be happier about it in the morning rather than spending money I dont have.

wise words. the happy feeling is not immediate either, I usually feel it the next day when I am guilt free with a clear head and didnt do whatever stupid thing I would have done the day/night before

The hundreds of posts in the original David Moyes thread.
Reading something on here that makes me laugh so hard that I'm short of breath.
Dragging my fat arse down to the pool at 7 a.m. to swim as slowly and gracefully as a sperm whale.
The memory of autumn and winter, and snow, and the fervent hope that I'll experience them again.
Air conditioning, the greatest invention of them all.
When Steven Gerrard proves that he still needs a wheelbarrow to carry his giant balls around.
When the crowd sings "You'll Never Walk Alone" and I still get choked up.
Nudity in person and the deep sleep that follows that sweet action that follows the nudity.
At the hole where he went in
Red-Eye called to Wrinkle-Skin.
Hear what little Red-Eye saith:
"Nag, come up and dance with death!'"

Was on the train the other day, pulled out a granola-type bar for a snack. See someone motioning out the corner of my eye. This fella across from me had just pulled out the exact same bar, sort of signalled to me as if to say, yeah, is right mate.

Cracked me up for some reason

Absolutely superb!

Mine? Well, my son has autism/aspergers and has difficulty showing emotions. Things like hugs and kisses don't come naturally to him.

Yesterday was a school sports day, and he had to wear red clothes. I got him into his Liverpool top and I'd bought him an Angry Birds red baseball cap as a surprise (he can't get enough of them). Anyway, I dropped him off to school and he was the happiest kid in the world dressed in all red. I waved goodbye and he turned round, ran back and hugged me and said "I love you Dad".

The world is such a beautiful place sometimes.

When I pretend I have fallen asleep in the living room and my son runs over and jumps on me to wake me up

Getting so addicted to an album that I end up listening to it every day (that point before you rinse it too hard and get a bit bored of it)...
...then going back to said album much later and remembering how much you love it

The night before I have a big training session planned in the morning, then going in and absolutely killing the weights

Agreeing not to buy each other Christmas presents cos you all have everything you need (and then buying them something small and cool anyway)

Birthday cake mix out of the bowl- just been transported straight back to being 6 years old

I know exactly what you  felt. In 2001  I took my granddaughter who was 8 at the time to Lapland with her 4 cousins for 5 days ,( she has the same as your son with learning difficulties due to her birth ) . Up till that holiday we had never really heard her laugh. We coaxed her to join in the fun as much as we could which she did. This particular day she didn't want to go down this big snow slide  which you had to sit in a tyre for !! anyway we persuaded her to just have one go. The others were loving it. She duly complied , and after letting go of my hand we gently pushed her off. Well in that short moment of time as she slid down , she laughed so loudly.. it was a moment of sheer pleasure not only for her but for all of us ...a moment I have treasured ever since ,for that laugh  from her heart has never come again as it did that day
If you have faith, you have everything.
Without it  , you have nothing.

If you are blind, you cannot see, If you are deaf you cannot hear, but if you are dumb God help you

We are like grains of sand, one amongst millions ,  and like sand ...when you walk this earth we leave behind out footprints

Christmas time at the local. it generally goes something like this: grab a drink, meet mates you haven't seen in at least a year, get excited, buy each other celebratory drinks, catch up on everything new in their life, drink loads more, wake up the next day with no recollection of who you met and/or what you talked about, go to the local that evening and repeat step one.
Love it. :D
