They both went in high, that's factually correct, both tried to play the ball at height.  Doku with his foot, Mac Allister with his chest.

Anyone know anywhere that you can buy that Fenerbahce shirt from? Want to get one with Kuyt on the back.

Unfortunately, this thread would have a lot more views if it said: Dirk Kuyt does Gangnam style as opposed to just Dirk Kuyt. He's a class bloke though, one of the foreign players who 'got' what it was to play for Liverpool.

5 goals and 2 assists in 8 matches this season, God bless you Dirk Kuyt and the guy who did let his transfer to Fenerbahce SK.

He was the legend for Liverpool and now also he is a true legend for Fenerbahce too.

Maybe he is not so talented but he tries to give his best in every single match...

He's a much better player than he's given credit for. His boundless energy and desire are his endearing qualities but he's much more than that. I admit he frustrated me so much at times but eventually I realized how important he was for us. He scored many vital goals, in big domestic games and in Europe and he never ever shirked away from anything. He would miss a sitter from 8 yards but he wouldn't let it bother him. He created a lot of space for the likes of Torres, Stevie and to a lesser extent Yossi and others to exploit.

On top of that, he's a fucking great fella and does a lot for charity and other things. Glad to hear he's doing well in Turkey.

I'm sorry but to want a player to be 'nice' over quality is ridiculous, it's a bonus if he's a good person, nothing more.

Always liked Kuyt and thought he was under-rated, you don't play in a WC final if you aren't a good player.

Likeable bloke.
My thoughts exactly. His detractors would then point to Djimi Traore and his CL medal but it's not as if there has been a dearth of attacking talent for Holland since he's been around in 2004. He mustn't be too bad if several managers have picked him for a country that could have gone for van Nistelrooy, Sneijder, Robben, van Persie, van der Vaart, Huntelaar, Afellay or Seedorf among others to fill the various positions he can play instead. You don't win 98 caps for that country if you're a bad player.
