Are the three pyramids a representation of the three goalscorers that came before him, in goalscoring stature - Suarez, Torres, and, er, Borini?

;D

Fourth one you can barely make out on the left is Spearing.

Nope, it's means a Pyramid has been built to honor each of them : Mane, Bobby & Salah

The Dodgy Mo Salah song is getting a lot of coverage in the Muslim world and like Digger we have another player who is breaking down the barriers of prejudice.

With what's gone on with Suarez and Couthinho you can't help but sometimes think the worse but I believe that Mo is less about money then most players. He could gain immortality if he stays with us.

Don’t know how true it is but heard off someone who works at the club that he is the only player at the club who has 100% exclusive player image rights, he owns the lot. Normally this probably wouldn’t be a positive for us as a club, but in his case I’d say it is. Let him keep his own rights, as if that keeps him happy because his pulling power in Egypt then so be it. As if he was there go to Real then they would want at least 50% of that, so he’d be waivering a big cut of his image rights.

I quite wanted to be a journalist when I was a kid, but it has basically descended into 'I'm a Celebrity, get me out of here' levels of excrement. Its now essentially 'how much shite can I write to garner a reaction and get lots of hits and posts and tweets'. A bit like punditry as well.

As far as I'm aware, Salahs numbers in terms of shots on goal, conversion rate, dribbles, key passes etc are consistent with what he's shown over a number of seasons and consistent with playing in a side creating lots of chances. The assumption that 'the goals will inevitably dry up' is just bizarre.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Re: not contributing much when the goals dry up, he's already got 7 PL assists this season. Compare that to the other big scorers (in order of PL goals scored);

Kane 1
Salah 7
Aguero 5
Sterling 6
Vardy 1
Firmino 6
Lukaku 5
Hazard 2
Morata 5
Rooney 2
Martial 4
Lacazette 3
Mahrez 7
Son 4
Sanchez 3
Jesus 2
Murray 0
De Bruyne 14

He gets more assists (tied with Mahrez) than the top 17 goal scorers in the league until we get to De Bruyne in 18th place.

So apart from scoring a bucketload, assisting a bucketload, constantly occupying multiple defenders freeing up space for his teammates, stopping opposition teams playing a high line because they can't handle his pace and hence leaving opposition midfields more isolated and generally being fucking good at football, I guess he doesn't contribute too much.

This makes sense if he wants to be sure his image isn't used on ads, publicity or campaigns that are against his beliefs.

Yeah the only thing you can say is he's over achieving his expected goals - 'running hot' - a bit more than is sustainable so you wouldn't expect him to hit quite the number of goals he's hit this season
but his shot numbers are pretty monstrous - basically the same as Aguero's - so he's going to score a lot of goals for as long as he plays in this team

Give over, this guy has been stealing a living as a journo since at least 2005?

I mean I'm not even on about the very strange opinion he's formed, it's the shockingly way he then argues why he has that opinion yet ignores some glaringly obvious arguments against it.

I agree, he will score 20 goals at  a minimum next year. People forget he did that last season at Roma, he's improved every single year since he's left Chelsea
