What injury does Divock have?  It's so frustrating that he's out while 2 of our strikers are at AFCON.

Injured the left phalange mate.

the silence re Divock is bizarre. I don't think there's been more than a couple of syllables since he went out.  which is really bizarre.

I hope to hell I'm wrong but it may be that he has a bad case of Covid that hit him when the injury did.  I don't know what other explanation there could be.

please god, I'm wrong.

Only just read there that there's apparently a clause for a year's extension on his deal if he plays a certain number of games this season. I don't want to accuse him of anything, and most likely he would be professional and want another year here anyway, but it sort of makes me wonder about the timing of this - at the one time in the season where he would be guaranteed a lot of games, he's missing with a 'sore knee' injury that hasn't been detailed in any way. Like I said, most likely it's just bad luck, but I really hope it isn't anything to do with him making sure he can leave on a free in the summer.

Definitley not, it follows the pattern of our recent injury history. It's become a thing here for a player to be out for a game... followed by barely any news on the injury and them just being out for an extended period.

We've seen it with the likes of Thiago, Gomez and Keita for example. It just seems to be how we report injury news at present

This is life under Klopp. There was a Miguel Delaney article the year we won the CL where he recalled Klopp going to the PR/Comms department at Dortmund during an injury 'crisis' and insisting that they report each one as an 'opportunity' for someone else in the squad to assert a claim. That's how Klopp is - small squad, take risk, go low key with the updates on the injuries.

Very glad to hear. Would be a huge help if he and Elliott could play some part vs Palace.

Great news, let's hope he gets up to speed soon.

Divock doesn’t need to get up to speed, he just needs to be able to float onto the pitch looking slightly baffled as to why he’s there, and do his thing.

Or maybe he’s been constrained financially at both clubs?

Yeah he does routinely lie to everyone.
He's been at Liverpool nearly 7 years. Why would he hang about if he wasn't happy with how we are run? Plenty of oil clubs would rip your arm off (one or two probably literally) to get him.

bad choice of word.

You may not be happy with how it is, but nothing to suggest he has a problem with it. Kloppo knew exactly what he was walking in to at both clubs, at Dortmund he was arriving at a club that almost went bankrupt 2 years before and had pretty much no transfer budget to start with.  Here he knew how the owners work and how the club spends and had no problem taking the job.
