My favourite time of the week - cheers Barney ;D

Last weeks' fixtures (and eventual results!) will take some beating but it's another interesting looking weekend.  Tough games for Abu Dhabi, Arsenal and, to a slightly lesser extent, ourselves.  I'm happy for Forest to keep their momentum going against the Saudi barcodes.

Wolves vs. Southampton means at least one of the bottom two is getting something.  Leicester and Ipswich might benefit from playing against teams that were in Europe - albeit with rotated squads.

West Ham have been dreadful so far which would make it all the sweeter if they nudged Everton back towards the relegation zone.

I'm going with repeat of last week.
Arsenal and City to lose again - us to win.

Ped doesn't lose 4 on the bounce, but this weekend will see that change.

5pts clear and 10 clear of Arsenal, a full strength Leicester doing the Mancs and West Ham doing the shite, what a lovely weekend this could be.

Imagine Anfield if Brighton beat City before our game.

Looking at the long term, I'm fairly relaxed about whatever the outcome is this weekend.

I'd said a few weeks ago being within 3 points of top spot after the run of games after the last break would be a very decent position to be in. We're going to be at worst 1 point off top.

Being 5 points clear would be pretty amazing though.

Just realised how bad those 3pm games look, however Brentford v Bournemouth might be decent.

Hopefully Everton lose to a 98th minute own goal.

I’ve become a bit of a hate watcher, that is when I can be bothered to watch anyone but us. So I’ll probably watch Everton, just in the hope of seeing them battered. At the very least Pickford will do at least one stupid thing.

Jeez, Brentford resembling Portsmouth 2007/2008. Slower pace than Bournemouth, but what they lack in pace, they make up for in strength.

Goal for Brentford.
Wisse scoring.

As you'd expect that came from "playing football in the air" - Brentford just outjumping Bournemouth in the penalty box.

Pass Accuracy at 77%, each, over at Brentford v Bournemouth. Bournemouth at least trying to play football, but Brentford just shoving them off the ball.

West Ham are really poor. Why did I see loads of people prediciting that they'd be "dark horses" this year? Surely not because they signed a United reject and a German Chris Wood?

The West Ham/Everton game is reminiscent of Covid football. The ground would have thousands less in it if it was taking place about a month from now.

You're living the dream this season if you're a Brentford/Bouremouth fan and there's no serious expectations other than finishing midtable. At least give the fans some value for their money.

Compare that with West Ham/Everton
