The Scouse Greek was excellent again. We need a right sided version of him now.

Great ball in for Bobby's offside goal. Pity Bobby didn't time his run better.

In fairness, the thing Ming has more to do with h the Southampton defense, they held the line and caught three players offside.

What a performance - he’d play left back for most of the league!!

For me there's only one team he isn't first choice for. But guess what....
3 midfielders minimum in the next window. And probably another young CB to boot.

Anything else is negligent.

Made me laugh on the bus yesterday with his flag on a long pole, Citizen Smith sunglasses :D , cutout of Mo which got dropped and must have blocked the driver's vision at times,  and a Cup but he looked like he had a great time,  singing and waving. Though as I started to flag watching it, our Duracell bunny looked tired too, the lack of sleep catching up with him maybe? :D But he perked up again after. Let's hope he has a few more parades to take part in.

Every right to be too. All the lads have been involved and prepared for every single game available to us, constantly geeing themselves up to be ready at a moments notice. The deflation of losing out on the league and the CL the way it unfolded must be really sapping. That being said, they'll get a deserved rest and come back fresh and hungry and ready to be defeated by Millie yet again in the lactate tests.

Kostas had a really good season. Yet he played just over half the games played by Robbo. I think his target will be to push Robbo harder for selection next year and feature in 35+ games.

there's zero doubt in my mind that with 5 subs we'll see more of him next year - we'll be able to manage minutes of the key guys like never before to guard against injuries and burnout.

can't wait.

Training starts next week? That flew by. Do they fully recharge in that time? Doesn’t seem much of a break

Usually the first Mon in July, and the season starts a week earlier due to the WC. Might just be for the non-internationals at first. I'm sure Millie will be there :D

Yes it was - beautiful touch, and required a great deal of concentration with the defender just missing the header in front of him.

Really think Kostas should be starting these games against the bottom half sides. Robbo was running on fumes at the end of last season and we're basically playing twice a week until the World Cup from now on.

Yep, I’d go with that. Plus his crossing from deep can be more effective against a back ten.

The assist for Fabio was phenomenal
my favourite goal from the game.

Trent's cross field pass was simply unbelievable, dropped right where Kostas was heading.

Then Kostas' one-touch pass, amazing.

And Carv controlling the shot and placing it perfectly.

Reminded me of the Trent-Shaq-Mo one-touch goal vs West Ham the other year.

football at its most magnificent.

Second that.
There's absolutely no dip in quality and we get another "attacking" threat from the opposite flank with those sweet crosses, which will undo most sides, especially mid- and bottom-half sides.

Such a sweet left foot! Long time since I've seen that in our team. Aurelio was the last, and Riera before him- but he was too inconsistent..

Two games a week is about to become a regular thing, I'd imagine these little cameos have been to keep him sharp so the two can alternate going forward.
