West Ham V Liverpool
London

So, my mate, JC, sound fellah...except when the Hammers lose; is up in arms, fucking fuming after the West Brom game. "Shit grarnd, shit owners (bin there), shit fackin' team (bin there too, mate)...feel sorry for Moyesay....(wtf!)

The Irons are struggling, its clear but they've got Noble. Always liked him, reminds me of Sammy Lee. He'll be at it for an hour, full on and if they're still in the game, he might move them up a gear. Just saying...

Always had a good time at Upton Park, minimum trouble, the usual, but good lads on the whole, the West Ham boys. And they like us...and they don't like many.... got a soft spot for the Hammers tbf.

They're expecting a tonking, so lets not disappoint. Feel sorry for Moyseh...

Fabianski and Felipe Anderson are big losses for them. Anderson has been shit for the better part of a year or so now but he's still capable of producing something out of nothing. West Ham have absolutely dragged him down to their level.

That being said, I'll take the three points however they come. But with Virgil and Joe at the back, I'm confident we can keep these out and keep a clean sheet. Hopefully Mo sorts himself out as well because with Mane now out, the burden will be even more on him to produce. 2-0 to us with Bobby and Mo the scorers.

Antonio is back from injury just in time to play us, absolutely bang average player but always seems to score against us lol

Should have too much for though, they look absolutely terrible and seemed destined for relegation. I'll go 3-0 to us come on you Redmen  :scarf

Would be sticking big Div left wing against Pablo Zabaleta to run him. Let's not pretend that Divock's form has any bearing on what he might do in a game.

Come on Redmen!!
Will be good to have our first team back. Ox on left I suspect with solid midfield and usual defence. We will miss Mane and they have a couple of dangerous players but we just need to out run their midfield, dominate the ball and take our chances.

Really? I’m sure whoever replaces him will be fine. I would stick Div on the left and let him loose against Zabaletas ageing legs. Though the clue may have been in the lineup against Shrewsbury, Origi played the full 90, doubt he’ll start.

Struggling to concentrate on this as I'm so frustrated at the denigration of the glorious game we have seen from our manager this weekend.

Can't see how the players will cope either. 5-0 West Ham.

The only thing with West Ham is that they've taken so much stick from their supporters and the media in the last week or so that surely they're bound to be up for this game and put in extra effort to prove something to the critics.

Whether that's good enough to stop us seems unlikely, but we can't take anything for granted.

Mane being out is a big blow and will disrupt the front 3 as well as the partnership with Robertson as Origi was dreadful the other night, Ox is rubbish on the left and it isn't Minamino's position.

Antonio will score against us as usual, but Salah will get 2

Good time to play them really, they had their obligatory "new manager bounce" against a Bournemouth side who were in free fall & they're now back to being shite again

Should put them to the sword but wouldn't be surprised if we stumbled over the line. Not arsed either way like, wins a win!

Hate this attitude. Jose won't be doing Pep any favours but they're still shit and are going to lose. A draw wouldn't be a disaster against anybody but West Ham are terrible and we've won 22 out of 23 so we should be beating them at all costs.

Agree. Don’t understand this “need” to express pessimism. In a season where we have only drawn once in 23 fucking matches, where does this urge to declare “a draw would not be a disaster” against a struggling, under Moyes, West Ham team comes from. Defies logic. Back up your comment with facts and reasoning or otherwise just keep it to yourself. Annoying ...

They will be looking for an excuse to give up so let's give it to them with an early goal. Even without Sadio we could run up the score here but if it's scoreless at half time it could be one of those slog games where we grind out a win.

Last year's game bears no relevance at all and the only player they have that can do something special is Antonio. They will literally have a clown in goal who should be tested early and often.

The game against Southampton will be much tougher so let's get this one done quickly and go full bore on Saturday. I'd play Lallana in this one to ensure we control the midfield and go with Ox on Saturday where we'll need to batter a hole in their parked bus (or play both if Ox is going to play in the front 3).

One fact/reasoning could be that we drew this exact fixture last season and it came around Jan/Feb if I remember correctly. It is not an 'easy' fixture, we might have difficulty in adjusting to their ground as it was last season and it is a decent par 1 fixture. And Mane has just been injured and while we should have enough to beat them without him, it is still a challenge as we have not played an important game (League or CL) without Mane for quite a while (except the start of this season due to AFCON). I'd take a 1 goal win right now.

Manage the 30 minutes of running he actually does and we should be OK. They don't carry much of a threat on the counter otherwise. I work with a couple of Hammers supporters and they are petrified of what we will do to them.

Not saying that it's going to be easy either. But it's a game that we should be expecting a win considering all the circumstances (even without Mane). Anything less - we should be disappointed. Saying "a draw is not a disaster" against West Ham is to me a bit defeatist

We should win this comfortably - my only concern is that this furore around the FA Cup hasn't messed with the general vibe of the squad. I really don't expect it has, but when we are so far clear there is very little else to worry about  8)

Same team as Wolves/Spurs/United with Origi in for Mane. Wouldn't be adverse to Lallana coming in for AOC but would still prefer to see AOC start. Actually if Keita is available (he was on the bench at Shrewsbury) then I think it would be good to get him involved in these next 2 games ahead of the winter break.
