My Huddersfield mate reports that Grabara isn't setting the world on fire, sadly.
If I were a linesman, I would execute defenders who applauded my offsides.

Good move for him.  With Minamino coming in and playing in the Firmino position tonight, opportunities would have been severely limited for Rhian.

Klopp rates him highly but he needs match time.

Looks a player to me. Still, hard to look great when you're keeping goal in an awful team. Still, he's there to learn on their pitch not ours, and he'll be doing that well I'm sure

Talking about keepers.

It would be good for us to be able to send Kellegher out on loan this month.

He's had a bit of an up and down season, same as his team, apparently made a big error in their 5-2 loss the past week. I'd say that given it's his first chance of playing first team football, and in a very solid division, he's done well.

Danny Ward was hit and miss there at times but he was in a really solid team that were flying which helped. Huddersfield have been a mess the last 12 months. Difficult for a young keeper to thrive in that environment.

Isaac Christie-Davies has joined Cercle Brugge on loan until the end of the season.

The midfielder will spend the remainder of 2019-20 with the Belgium Pro League club after terms were agreed with Liverpool.

Christie-Davies will now link-up with the Groen en Zwart at their winter training camp in Malta.

Bernd Storck is at the helm of Cercle Brugge, who gained promotion to Belgium's top flight last season.

The German coach was previously in charge of Royal Excel Mouscron, where Taiwo Awoniyi spent time on loan last season under his tutelage.

Karius being Karius.

Kiev broke him. I can't believe that there were some on here that were questioning the Alisson links and wanted to give Karius another chance.

I wonder if there’ll ever be an autocorrect for this sort of thing, just replying with the quote from the manager where he said pretty much the same ;D
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

He has to say that though - Klopp is good like that.  It took zero arm twisting to bring in Alisson.

Nat Phillips has gone back to Stuttgart to 'complete' his loan.

Nat showed his talent against Everton.

Thought he might have stayed and played some part in the next FA Cup match but seems like Lovern and Mapit will be back by then so going back to Stuttgart is the right call.

He will be buzzing that he's officially played for Liverpool's 1st team.

He was poor vs Everton especially in the first half. He only won 2 of his 10 duels and only won 1 of his 8 aerial duels. Good for him that he can say he played for Liverpool as you say and at Anfield but let's not let the fact we won the match cloud your judgment.

Matip is already back and Lovren and Fabinho are back this week.

Just read about this here.

https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/huddersfield-town-liverpool-loan-keeper-17648411

Manager said he came round on the pitch but didn’t know where he was so was taken to hospital with neck brace on.

Fingers crossed for the lad.

Playing around with Statsbomb's publication of their stats, I had a look at Harry Wilson's underlying performance for Bournemouth.

He's scored 7 goals this season with an xG of 2.6. That means he's scored 4.4 more goals than the quality of his chances warranted, which isn't a surprise given how many of his goals are scored from range.

He also shoots quite a lot - about 2.68 shots every 90. For reference, that's just a bit less than Mané (2.79/90), just a bit more than Ox (2.64/90) and a fair bit more than Origi (2.31/90) and would put him at the 5th most trigger happy player in our seniors. He's a fairly uninspired shooter - his non-penalty xG/shot is .07, which again isn't surprising given the number of shots from range he takes.

His assists are fairly poor - 0, although his xA is 1.3, and he's made just under 1 key pass per game. His dribbles per 90 are around the same.

Given all the above, even accounting for Bournemouth's very poor season, I don't know if he's done enough to make a compelling case for coming into the squad next season. Jones and Elliott have furthered their claims this season to continue to be given chances, while we've signed Minamino and may sign another attacker in the summer.

Nonetheless, he's scored a very decent number of goals and may yet round out the season in double digits. That would make him a very reasonable prospect for a lower league team, perhaps a new promotee, to pay a 20m-30m sum for him.

Some nice flicks and link up-play by Brewster but Swansea were absolute dogshit so, like everyone else on their team, he never got a sniff of a goal.

The most important factor for a young forward on loan is, of course, goals. Other than that, I'd say the next most important factors are whether or not they keep showing for the ball, and whether or not they play the ball quickly. How well they combine will improve with better team cohesion, but those two factors are marks of individual effort and thinking.

Is Ben Woodburn back from his injury yet? Being Welsh I've got a soft spot for him, still seems like a massive talent who's had rotten luck for the past two seasons.
