No cohesion up front.

Henderson with Hollywood passes.

Mane blind alleys.

Robertson looks good.

Sturridge and Firmino never compliment each other.

Robertson looks good going forward, put some lovely crosses in. Left a few Passes short but he hasn't done any Kung fu kicks yet or slid in unnecessarily.

Firmino looks drunk.

Good luck to FDB trying to get this Palace team to play football.

Robertson the only positive. Otherwise looking a bit sloppy. Need to step it up after the break.

That midfield. My word less said the better. Not a single bit of invention there among the three and as a result our play slows down. Henderson must get a bonus if he hits a certain number of long passes. There isn't another explanation for his constant switching of play when not required or his forcing of play when not needed either.

Just need to take one of our chances to open this up. Done well breaking down Palace down our left. Robertson has some quality.

it's great to see somebody crossing first time from the left instead of slowing down and cutting back.

We have controlled most of the half yet haven't really created much. We need to be careful of giving away cheap free kicks as that's all Palace have to offer so far. We were caught out badly once when 5 players were around the ball and Palace broke away.

Robertson the only positive so far, putting great crosses into the box, looks a real danger down the left.

Everything is just so flat, zero creativity from the midfield, Gini happy to stroll through without doing anything again, same as Henderson.

Think we're doing well. A bit more cutting edge and we'll score. Credit to the defence for looking assured. Robertson has had an excellent debut so far. Looks calm in possession and moves and shifts the ball well in attacking areas. Only criticism would be Firmino's wastefulness in possession. A lot of our attacks break down with him. Henderson is pulling the strings quite well in the middle and Milner is putting in a good shift. All in all a fairly composed display so far. Let's get Mane and Sturridge in it more and put them to the sword.

Painfully average.

Couldn't agree more, some pretty ineffective performances out there today.
Klopp gonna have to sort something out at half time, unfortunately this is something that is happening far too regularly.

Robertson decent after a nervy start.

Feels a bit like one of those nothing performances that we're familiar with where we just dont get going. I think the changes haven't helped. Wasnt sure Henderson and Gini were on the field until about 40 minutes in. Midfield is woeful.

Still it could be worse.

Fancy us to nick this in the second half.

Not good enough in attack unfortunately. Reminds me so much of last season in these type of matches.

We have nobody to feed the attack. We desperately need a creative midfielder out there but we don't have one on the bench either. Hopefully we can get something from a set piece or a moment of magic.

Yawn, after 45 minutes of domination, everybody in this thread is panicking.
Palace will tire, a mistake of two will be made, and they will be punished.

Robertson and Gomez have done well, pleased for them. Daniel needs to attack the ball and go front post more. Typically the crossed ball makes the front post 95% of the time, and the back post 15%. Play the percentages Daniel.

Our midfield aren't the most creative.......Henderson just needs to feed a short ball into one of the front three and they will make the space.

Robertson's crossing has been good, aside from that and a shot from Firmino (who's been poor) I've already blotted out the rest of that half.

Midfield not really shown up so far. We need a midfielder to carry it a bit more into the final third and make more runs beyond the front line.

Should bring Solanke on for Wijnaldum and allow Sturridge or Firmino to do the carrying.

Robertson being the biggest threat so far.

Robertson looks good going forward. Need a hell of a lot more creativity, at times we were on the cusp with moving it around well and with a bit of pace to the passing, which just subsided into more predictable play.

Robertson impressed, got involved and put in a few dangerous crosses, something we've been missing from our fullbacks. Firmino seems really off pace today, poor touches and got bullied off the ball frequently. Other than that our midfield is full of passangers, we seriously need some upgrading there.

Firmino on the flank is just stupid. He's been bossing it through the middle this season, and he's never looked like the same player out wide. He doesn't have the pace to play there. If Sturridge and Firmino both play, it has to be in a diamond. Neither can play from wide.

And good lord this midfield. How do we still have a prototypical Brendan Rodgers midfield? Small, slow, and weak across the board.

Robertson is the only one interested in creating anything.

We're not there yet fitness and tempo-wise.
We'll pick up and gather steam, but for now we need to grind out wins.

Happy with what I've seen of Robertson so far. Sturridge playing too deep at times though and those quality crosses from Robertson is going to waste. Just like what Moreno's learned. Like Robertson, he also puts in a decent, early cross but too often there's no one to connect.

Our football since Rafa's just not about heading stuff(even in defense).

Like Robertson. We need to find a way to de-stabilize their defence in the 2nd. So far we have the ball, but we struggle to create chances. I expect to see Salah if we don't improve.
