Advantage NZ, their strength is in their bowlers and will be happy as it stands. England haven't quite got going yet.
Woakes was good but the rest have been average so far.

Need a couple of quick wickets here to get the balance of play back.

Elects to bat, then bats at Test Match pace. He's an unbelievable batsman but he's got to go big to make up for this start.

That's the way they play though, look to get a decent score and back themselves to defend it.

They have the upper hand at the moment.

I know he’s not scored too many but Kane Williamson has played himself in here, could be a long 35 overs for England now. On for a biggie.

Nichols looking set as well.

I think the reason we don't do all that well at Lord's is because the oppo tend to bowl better than we do. This hasn't been great by any stretch so far.

They are still on for a late 200s/300 score. Caution fine for now.
94 Corner to us. Last kick. Ali in the box and he’s scored

They want to get themselves in, see the new ball off, hope the sun comes out and then cash in. It isn't a bad strategy by any means but it comes with risks.

Rashid could be key here.

Hugely unpopular opinion but Lords is really not very good in my opinion. The atmosphere is like you’d get at the Proms. No wonder we lose quite a lot there.

If the bowlers are going to start going at 6 or 7 an over then they need to get a wicket.

Fair comment, Lords is far too stuffy for atmosphere, feels kind of liking watching your Ps & Qs, polite applause when someone scores a boundary.

Comfortable out there for the NZ batsmen now. They don’t look in any bother at all, there’s a ball or two every over they can get a boundary off and there’s nothing that’s beating the bat or giving them anything to think about.

That’s a combination of erratic bowling and the Kookaburra ball, which does bugger all after 10 overs until they may get some reverse swing later. The Kiwi bowlers are more than capable of bowling tightly throughout. I agree with those posters suggesting NZ are on top at present.

Been twice. Both times I was surrounded by people talking loudly about who they know/once met, their investment portfolio or where they were going on holiday.  The cricket was a sideshow to their attempts to show off.

Going well, but with the ball not doing much I would have fancied England to be 30-40 runs ahead if they were batting.

England look a bit flat, bowling has been poor. NZ look in control, hard to see a wicket falling at the moment.

Apart from that 3 wicket spell in the semi final Rashid hasn't really been a threat, Wood is bowling quick but is all over the place.
