Reappointing an older and wiser Rodgers, who has garnered experience as a winner in his time away, and with a solid backroom structure that he will now know he has to work with, would actually presumably tick many of the boxes that FSG may be looking at …
Talking out your arse yet again. If this was Twitter, you'd be a parody account.

Scotland is much inferior to Netherlands and Portugal. Its hardly a hotbed of managerial or coaching talent these days either which gives you an indication of the standards there.

I say that as a Scot and avid follower of the SPFL. Netherlands and Portugal, while not top standard, offers greater weight to achievement I'd say.

Portugal is half a level above Netherlands for me

Not sure why people are worrying about Arsenal’s results now. They lost against Villa and gave us an opportunity which we had duly fluffed by losing to a poor side, at home. Even a draw and we are in a strong position as we would be ahead of Arsenal and need City just to draw.

Fact is we are now needing two teams to fuck up but ultimately we need to win every game and that includes a merseyside derby, against West ham on saturday who have had a week off, at Villa who are back in form and a tricky home game against Spurs.

So what's the alternative. Give up ? The Palace game shows ther can be more to come. It's mad a lot of people saying (not aiming this at you) Arsenal will tonk Spurs on Sunday in the North London Derby, but our derby tonight is a bastard of a game.  I'm not even thinkig of Spurs and Villa yet. Win tonight and Saturday and heap the pressure back on Arsenal is all we can really do

Sporting and Feyenoord have no tradition of winning the league in the 21st Century - certainly no expectation. They are the poor relations. It's not remotely comparable to Celtic.

Swansea and Everton haven’t had a tradition for much longer if at all. It’s much harder to win a league with Everton than it would either of those sides. Van Bronckhorst won the title with Feyenoord in 16/17.

I think between the two Amorims accomplishments are far more impressive.

The cynic in me thinks Johnson and other Republicans have stalled this deal until Ukraine is on the verge of military collapse, so they can pass it when it's too late to make a difference. Then they can wring their hands and say, "well, at least we tried."

I really really hope that Biden has been moving assets into position ahead of time, in anticipation of a deal being struck. I've seen reports that the front lines have broken and Russia is pouring through. I don't see how the equipment can possibly reach the front lines in time. Ukraine needed this stuff at least a month ago. :butt

Johnson is getting a lot of hate from the MAGA loons so not likely. If you're referring to the latest RfU video with the front lines breaking, he tends to report on a lot of small scale stuff, and often these breakthroughs are dealt with very quickly.

Rodgers is a league winning manager. You couldn’t expect them to win the league managing in the top English divisions but they most probably would have if managing in Portugal, Netherlands or Scotland.

It's a not a robust assumption right now.
