I am a lifelong Liverpool supporter and have only been to Anfield 3 times in my life.
My seven year old son is besotted with Liverpool and will be a fan for life.
He has never been to Anfield.
I have been trying to get a ticket by post and by phone for a home game on a Saturday for the last 3 years and have never managed to get a ticket.
I have spent many hours trying to get through to the ticket office. I have sent 20 or so postal applications.
All I want is to give my son his first experience of watching Liverpool, that is something he will never forget and will be the best thing in his life so far.
Is there any way to get a ticket for my son and me?, I could pay up to £100 for a ticket if that is what it takes.
I dont know what else to do, we are massive Liverpool fans, we just want to watch our team.
I know there is a big demand for tickets but for me it seems it is impossible.

First of all, do not do this. Don't encourage touts by buying tickets off them. Secondly, you could try the ticket exchange on this website? I know there are quite a few spares for Portsmouth floating around.

Sorry if this question is in the wrong place but this is where i feel it is most relevant-
I am planning to try and get tickets for Liverpool V Bolton on Boxing Day (before anyone kicks off, thats not what im asking in this post anyway!)
The question is- Are boxing day games generally harder or easier to get tickets for (on general sale). I think it could go 2 ways.
1) It could be very hard ie harder than usual and the demand for tickets is higher because most people are off work and want to get away from the mother in law etc! or...
2) It is easier and the demand is less than usual because alot of people do not go as they are not allowed by the mrs to get away from the mother in law etc!
