I never enjoyed this one as much as the first time Forsyth was hosting. This one seemed too fake in terms of finding everything hilarious. The first time it was on you didn't know what to expect and it was hilarious how everything on it panned out especially 'Play Your Iraqi Cards right'. Hislop was extremely cynical in the one that was repeated last night and Merton was finding everything a bit too hilarious in my mind. Was still a very good show but nowhere near the standard of the first time he hosted.

Indeed, with Jo Brand hosting and Graham Linehan also on the panel, who's written for shows like IT Crowd and Black Books.

Interestingly I bought the DVD 'Best of Have I Got News For You 1990-2002' which arrived yesterday. It was an awesome highlights package and passed 3 and a half hours by brilliantly. Extras were pretty cool as well with an option to have Paul and Ian doing a commentary over the highlights package which was also funny and very insightful to hear what they were thinking at points during the Tub of Lard episode or the Paula Yates episode and all sorts of other interesting facts. Would certainly recommend it for HIGNFY fans, particularly as there used to be almost all the episodes available on youtube since series 1 but they got taken down a month or two back.

I don't know why they had her on again, she wasn't very good last time either. Though it is occasionally nice to see the panellists have a go at someone because the show's often even funnier when there's a bit of an edge to it.

Absolutely. The best ones are often when one of the panellists or the presenter is a politician that Ian and, to an extent, Paul can get their teeth into. Mensch didn't offer anything witty, but was a good target and I did laugh that no one laughed at several of her comments that were clearly intended to amuse.

Pretty decent episose this week then; shame I don't think that more often, but they really feel like they're going through the motions some weeks. Danny Baker was good, funnier than many people they have on there.

Didn't expect to see Mensch again but after last time you just knew she was going to get destroyed again. Loved it. She kept trying to drive points and sort of turn it into a serious debate, no intention of keeping it light hearted.

Very good episode, best of the series so far. Paul seemed to perk up a bit and was extremely funny, especially towards the end.

And there was more rounds which I think the show has been missing recently.

Anyone see tonight's one? Was probably the best of the series. Was very funny throughout. Plus the last picture in the caption competition (the dog one) and Paul's gag to go with it almost had me in tears

I thought Nick from the Apprentice was pretty funny actually, very dry humour.
