FAO Manchester Reds
« on: February 27, 2002, 11:23:01 pm »
Just for anyone who lives in Manchester area and isn't travelling to London this weekend.  The Scubar (Oxford Rd, near the swimming pool) is showing the Fulham game live on Sat afternoon.  It'll be in Dutch or something, but should still be worth a laugh.

Message me if you want to meet up

I don't think so.  I think that it is just a pub called Scubar that shows a lot of football.  It might even have egg-chasing on the other screen, you can never tell.  It used to be called something else but that was before I was in Manc and keep forgetting what it was called.   :but:

Saph, Singing in Manchester? You are a disgrace, you need to learn some manners and find some respect. I cannot believe that you would behave in such a way. I am extremely disappointed in you young lady. ::)

To these Manchester Reds:

I was in that Scubar on Oxford Road on Saturday for the West Ham v Utd game.  I was with three Man Utd supporters.  As I saw United surge to victory, imagine by delight to hear the (rather untuneful) lyrics of Scouser Tommy belting out across the pub.

Presume that was you, as I recognised the bloke with the ponytail.  Do you know why it's called a 'ponytail' - if you lift it up you'll find an arsehole underneath.

;D ;)

Of course I was at the match last night.

I didn't join in because I have a semblance of dignity and self-respect.   ;) ;D ;)  (or at least I did before I hugged that bloke standing next to me last night - never met him before, hopefully never will again!)

Untuneful? are you sure. I though that we sounded like a group of angels sent from the heavens to show the mancs the light. You really shouldn't worry about self respect, I've never had any, And that Darius chap well he'd cut his hair if he had any.

Was also in the Scubar and could see/hear the singing of PST.  But had been playing football all morning (incl missing the first thirty minutes of M'boro game) and my voice was fucked from trying to get 11 hungover students to chase every balll down.  I did sing under my breath, and I did manage a cheer when West Ham scored to go 1-0, then 2-1 up.  The Mancs I was with had the last laugh.
