Jokes aside, I actually find that pic quite sad to be honest, given the phenomenal footballer he once was.

Certainly a health issue at play, physical or mental or both. It’s not as if he looked like Neil fucking Ruddock in his prime, just waiting to pull the ripcord into full-blown life-threatening obesity.

Tomorrow will mark the last 4 weeks of the the summer 2022 transfer window. From a Liverpool perspective, what are everyone's expectation for INs and OUTs by 11pm on Thursday September 1st 2022?

My personal expectation is that the only OUTs will be Nat Phillips (6-8M) and Sepp van der Berg (loan). We carried 5 centre backs last seasons so conceivable that we may keep 1 of these centre backs as cover. I do think the 5th CB last season  (Phillips in 2021 and Williams in 2022) was because of 3 players coming back from long term injury and a new, young CB arriving. May not be needed in 2022/23.

I don't expect any more OUTs. Or any INs. I wouldn't be surprised if Keita and/or Firmino signed contract extensions before the September 1st though.

If it does look like the above, how would people be feeling? Happy with the squad? Worried?

Personally I like the look of the squad. I'd have liked an addition in midfield with probably AOC being moved on. Once Tchouameni was off the table and Bellingham wasn't available, that additional midfielder was always going to be a depth option. Still nice to have but not essential in my opinion,

Is anyone expecting or anticipating any more activity than that described above?

That seems about right. Phillips to be sold or loaned, and Van Den Berg to be loaned both feel nailed on.

Hopefully a new deal for Keita soon, and Bobby if they feel they can keep him fit.

Still an outside chance of a midfielder IMO, may be dependent on the results of Curtis' scan.

Think Harvey will play more than a fit Jones anyway, just like the start of last season.

Amazing that you have it marked out for the countdown. Makes you officially a transfer slut.

As for your question, Id keep an eye on City and Chelsea. Something makes me believe they may move in for some player(s) that would be high on our list and we may be forced to react.

I have big transfer window calendar (June to August and January) on my wall at work where I cross out each day up until when the transfer window slams shut.

Most exciting time of the year to be a football fan. It'll be electric when those loan deals for Phillips and van den Berg go through.

Yep. He's the polar opposite of what LFC is all about.

This is why I was chuffed when the Mancs brought him back. It was such an obvious bad move for both parties and proved United were in serious decline, trying to recapture past glories and that they hadn't learned any lessons at all.

I said at the time, his signing was not a sign of their intent. It was a massive sign of their decline.

The dafter thing with the signing is that it could have easily worked for them if he was being brought in for the pr aspect with the intention of him being used as an impact sub to give them something extra and for him to pad his stats, but instead they decided to make him the focus of the team to such an extent that the manager got critcised when he rightly dropped him from certain games.

We've bought 3 forwards in the last 7 months (Diaz, Nunez and Carvalho) and Jota is likely out for weeks rather than months.

Only see it happening if Firmino goes. And I see that as a <1% possibility of happening.

I'd file a Sesko signing under potential rather than probable this summer.

So Sesko is touted as a €50m transfer after a 1 in 5 season in Austria?, why would the Plastics sign another striker that doesn't score when they already had Lukaku and have Werner?

Didn't get the fuss around Rice when he broke through a few seasons ago but watching him last season in the league and also in the Europa League, he really stood out. He's a very good and well rounded midfielder, there's no way West Ham hold on to him through next summer unless they pull off a miracle and qualify for the Champions League. Would absolutely have him here if his price was kept under or around £50 million, which I don't see happening.

Rice is a good player but I've rarely seen a player who feels less like a Liverpool player. Can imagine us signing him.

We've only taken a punt on an Austrian Bundesliga striker when there was a tiny buy-out clause. Unless he blows up this season, I'd say there'd be another club between him and LFC, perhaps Leipzig.
