Had a couple of pints of Berliner today. Very nice, went down like a hong kong hooker.

Anyone recommend a good craft beer monthly subscription?, I already have one with Flavourly, but for obvious reasons it doesn't last long (the beer is fantastic), wouldn't mind subscribing to another one each month.
I'd be interested in this too, like you I have the Flavourly sub but not too happy with it at the moment, too many light beers for me just lately (I have the mixed box) plus it went up a fiver a while back.

Been enjoying a lot of Créme Bearlee (made by Bear Town Brewery) of late. It's a stout. Little bit like Plum Porter (Titanic) but with caramel/vanilla instead of plum. It's better on cask than draft though as the draft is a bit cold for me.

(Not my photo. I'd not use such a stupid glass)

A belter of a pint is stuff called Lawless, its from the Purity Brewing Company. They were selling it in The Cross Keys by our work then stopped, but to my eternal joy its back in this week.

Another one I like is Krusovice which is sold on tap in HUS on Tithebarn Street, its pricey though!

Any Pilsner Urquell fans? Just recently discovered it. Cracking lager. One with history as well - it's the first Pilsner that was brewed in Plzen in the former German lands, now the Czech Republic.

I've tried pretty much all Czech beers, and for me, Pilsner Urquell is the best. In fact, it's probably the best pale lager in the world.

Cheers. Will do. I do love a stout. Not Guinness or Murphy's mind. The Carling and Carlsberg of stout. Had nice one the other week, if a little sickly. Think it was called Chocolate hobnob or something similar.

My tastes in lager have contracted further away from harsh taste and overly hoppy. I think it's increased choosing of wheat beers like Erdinger or Hoegaarden. Budweiser, Coors Light & Fosters my lager favourites now; light and mildly fruity.

I got the free case with the TAW podcast then forgot to cancel it. Can I justify £29 a month on 10 beers? If they're as nice as the ones I've had so far....I think I'll have to.

I got my first case free then received an offer for a Belgian Beer special case of 10 bottles for £20 so paid for that as well. Got my 3rd case due soon which is the second monthly one at £29. I’ve been happy with their beers so far.

Had to go to Cardiff yesterday afternoon, to pick up a turntable, and wanted to stop by some record shops. Went in to Roath, and stumbled upon Hops & Pops, (or the other way round), a lad selling records and craft beers. He also has his own record label, Odd Records, specialising in Indie Noise rock sort of stuff. His label was not for me, and unfortunately, on this visit, neither were any of his records, but I though, nice lad, gone to a lot of trouble here setting this up, so instead of leaving empty handed I asked him to recommend a beer, he first asked what I usually like, told him I liked Belgian bottles, and he handed me the tiger cub Belgian pale. As I went back towards the till, I noticed some out of dates at £1.50 each 4 for £5, so picked up the Lost & Found and the southpaw. Had a normal pilsener first when I got back home, but then though, what the hell, and tried the Lost & Found American Pale Ale R3.2 (the b&W can) Jeez it was delicious. Best thing I've drank outside of Belgium. A cloudy "modern American Pale Ale with a robust malt profile and full hop hit of tropical fruit and citrus" 5.2% with Ekuanot / Simcoe / Mosaic / Appolo Hops. If you are in Cardiff, do yourself a favour and buy the rest of these that he has in his crate by the till. Four of these for a fiver when they are normally £3.10 each is worth the detour. Very much looking forward to the other 2 tonight with a home made pizza.

Anyone know if they sell Franziskaner at any pubs/bars/clubs/etc in Liverpool? I discovered it about 5 years ago in Munich and have been drinking it at pre-drinks ever since (they sell it in Asda and Tesco), but have never managed to find it on a night out, even the German bars herge never have it in my experiences.

I only recently discovered Aldi supermarkets here in the States, and tried out their Wernesgrüner Pilsner. I was so pleasantly surprised, beats the hell out of 'domestic' beers here! Who'd have expected such a nice brew in a discount supermarket? Nicely priced, too!

Few pints of 'Big Wave' Golden Ale on Monday Night in a beer garden.  Found it on draught and served in a lovely chilled glass.

Nice stuff. Not had it in a bottle yet but will defo get hold of some.

A really refreshing and tasty Golden ale. Almost Lager to be honest but without the gassiness.

Have been a relatively recent convert to the craft beer scene, as we just had a local wine shop/bar open and they also stock a good range of craft beer as well.

Really enjoying some of the stuff being produced by Cloudwater (although pricey!), Magic Rock, Verdant, Wild Beer company, and Gipsy Hill, any other recommendations on here?
