Going to be a bit of a mad-dash to collect for me. Arrive at Brussels just after 4pm. Train to Genk plus to get to the stadium is about a two hour journey on the train.  :butt

The game kicks off at 2100 so you should have plenty of time.

Exactly mate, but LFC think those who aren't guaranteed can magic up time off work at the drop of a hat, as well as accomodation and travel.

It stinks

Standard procedure from LFC, they've 'only' had around 36 days to let us all know  ::)

You do know the Irish pubs do sell local beer as well ;)
As for Bilzen that is even more a dead town than Genk...
It’s the whole phoney Irish pub shizzle I hate. I’ve been in Irish pubs in Ireland but wouldn’t go in one anywhere else, prefer some authenticity.

I’ve no doubt Bilzen is dreary but I’ll be chucking my bag in then off to Genk so I’m not bothered.

Still got a lift available.
Let's get out of here before they realise what we've done

LFC has received an allocation of 1,037 tickets for supporters to purchase.

Please note seats situated on the first three rows (rows 0, 1 and 2) are severely restricted in view due to the accessibility structure and advertising boards at pitch level within the stadium.

We have also received a further allocation of 240 top category seats that, in line with UEFA guidelines, will be used as part of the players' allocation, the club’s UEFA Youth League team’s players and staff, travelling club staff and VIPs.

Ticket collection process

The club will implement a random ticket collection process for this fixture. Bookings will be selected at random and all supporters within that booking will be required to collect their ticket from a designated location in Genk. Further details can be found below.

Ticket prices

Adults: £57.50

Tickets will be available to season ticket holders and Official Members based on UEFA Champions League away fixtures recorded during 2019-20, 2018-19 and 2017-18 seasons:

    SSC Napoli (2019-20)
    FC Barcelona (2018-19)
    FC Porto (2018-19)
    Bayern Munich (2018-19)
    Paris Saint-Germain (2018-19)
    Red Star Belgrade (2018-19)
    SSC Napoli (2018-19)
    AS Roma (2017-18)
    Manchester City (2017-18)
    FC Porto (2017-18)
    Sevilla (2017-18)
    Maribor (2017-18)
    Spartak Moscow (2017-18)

12 or more games: from 8.15am on Wednesday October 9 until 10.30am on Thursday October 10.

Supporters are guaranteed a ticket during this sale and can purchase one ticket per person, up to a maximum of 10 tickets per transaction.

11 or more games: from 11am on Thursday October 10.

The above sale will take place on a first come, first served basis and supporters can purchase one ticket per person up to a maximum of four tickets per transaction.

The number of qualifying supporters will far exceed the number of tickets available during this sale and therefore no guarantee can be given that tickets will be available to all who apply.

In a work meeting in London 11am Thursday. 4 of us going. 4 qualify in that sale. I normally sort all our tickets. No way I can trust them bums in a scramble sale. Drat.

Reckon we’re looking at 195 tickets, 1037 - 842 (Maribor), for 2000 people. 1/10 chance.

842

There was a pdf knocking about at the time that stated 642 behind the goal PLUS 200 top category. It had a stadium map and the 2 sections highlighted.

It is since Maribor the club have started posting the normal allocation plus the top price ones. Previously they would announce it included in allocation.

I can't find the PDF now but distinctly remember it was 640 behind the goal plus 200 in the main stand. It was the first time I had ever seen a mention of the top price ones.

842
Once everyone kicked off, the club did state that it was 842 including the extra 200 that they now list separately as the players etc. allocation (they’ve done this for every euro away since) so Craig is right, only 642 went to ‘normal’ supporters.

Yeah that sounds about right although if the rumours about the club purposely holding some of the 2K tickets back for Red Star are true, it means more in the pot for this.

maybe it has been answered here, but the quickest way from Brussels airport to Hasselt is train?

And is it  cheaper to buy up front or on the day is fine?

Yep deffo by train. Prices are the same regardless of the time you buy tickets.

Also for everyone flying into Belgium, don't forget Brussels-South Airport CRL (which is in Charleroi, 1hr driving/train to Brussels) is not the same as Brussels Airport BRU (which is in Zaventem, close to Brussels) Lots of people, even including friends here in Belgium, mix up those two. Any more questions about trains etc, just dm me  8)

Trains are quite cheap here in Belgium and on a whole quite reliable.
