Just got a couple of City tickets for Sunday. Need to distribute one of them but when I click distribute the box pops up fine but the option to select the actual ticket is greyed out. Anyone come across this? I'm the owner of the ticket.

It’s been said that you can’t distribute returns, i.e tickets bought 1 or 2 days before the game.

Don’t know how true it is though, but seems to have been a problem all season

Unless you’re on the ball you’ll miss them plus I wonder how many more on 4+ are eligible. I refuse to pay £50+ in a part of the ground I don’t want to be in regardless of who we’re playing.

The issue has been with 'resale' tickets (i think tickets which have already been bought once and have been put up for resale), rather than late in the day tickets per se.  There some kind of 'washing machine' style icon next to the resale tickets when you have them in the basket; and the option to distribute these tickets wasn't there, people had to sort through the ticket office, lots of hassle etc etc

Yeah, ‘resale’ tickets are returns. And they are put on late in the day.

Not quite as binary though friend.  Not completely worked it out, but I think it's only specifically an issue for some but not all of the tickets.  Maybe ones that have been sold through the member resale process, but seemingly not applying to returned hospitality, perhaps not ST returns...  Majority of late tickets i've picked up haven't had the issue, only had it once amongst maybe six or seven.

I'd get onto them via email / lfc help twitter asap and explain the sitch.  Might be a bit of an anxious wait given the timescales, but earlier you can get in touch the more chance of it getting sorted.

I got lucky with a good seat for city in the bulks but dodged the rest as it was limited and thought I'd risk the late sales, glad I did now by the looks of it, hopefully the rest of the late availability is the same.

Just got on live chat and got them to cancel what I'd already purchased (corner of L1) so I could purchase better seats that came available! Good shout, got a pair in L7 now.

Got my mate sorted in CE8 Row 2 so he's made up.

I thought the sale was at 11am for some stupid reason and a mate wrote in our whats app chat that there was a sale at 10am at 9:59, I managed to load 4 browser windows inside a minute and the first one had a wait time of 1 minute

Thankfully I was allowed to purchase on my mates card though as he was stuck in work. Obviously I could see the game but it would be nice if they let you see games your friends and family qualified for. But I guess the other option is just to share logins.

Next season I imagine it will be even stricter as you'll seemingly have a limit of 6 people you can pass to, and you won't be able to purchase in the late sales and immediately sell to someone else which seems appropriate to me. It bolsters the credit system if anything.

There was a big argument on Twitter that this would do away with late spares in the pubs, but with returns up to the game back to the club (presumably from people who bought in the earlier sales/bulks) available to buy alongside late sales that get directly loaded onto your card like this, then there should be more tickets available for people to buy in the lead up to a game directly from the club and at short notice. But it'll be more about continual effort and checking the Liverpool website than based purely upon 'who you know'.

yeah but it's type of information that should've been communicated at the start of season. "You cant distribute tickets bought x close to game" people have had to find themselves it's just not good enough

Yes definitely.

Personally I hope they get rid of distributing altogether and just go back to how it was previously. Would stop the millions of repeated queries

It's sold out now so what you are depending on is late tickets being dropped which they will do but you have to be fast as there are loads of others trying the same.
