I don’t believe that’s the actual rule/law but refs do allow a bit of common sense (yes I know) to be applied if they feel like it. How many times have we seen throw ins by the corner flag allowed to be taken 15 yards up the pitch?

Without VAR there will be mistakes with goals given even though we caught them offside. He’s essentially claiming we’re getting away with the rules being applied... he’s an idiot.
