"... Liverpool win it with a late penalty."  :lmao
At least the MOTD crew admitted it was a penalty and those should be given more often. Shearer does talk a lot of sense sometimes.

Nedum Onuoha and Ian Wright is best pairing they've had on there in ages.

Nedum is on ESPN. They call him City...lol.

Generally he's pretty decent but his City allegiance does come out.

VAR is the reason why we get away with the high line and results. It's confirmed now because the footballing tactician guru that is Jenas says so.

I didn't get to see the game today due to other sporting commitments, so only catching up with it now, with Match of the day.
For the first goal, Anthony Taylor has allowed Bernardo Silva to take a quick free kick from nowhere near where the Fabinho foul on Walker took place.
Why has he not called this back. He's standing watching it!

I always thought as long as it was behind where the foul took place it doesn’t matter hugely.

Briliant line from him he is knocking us but 5 seconds later he is pretty much saying we get it right !

High line is wrong cos I was taught this under my British coaches its a common theme with these idiots on tv/radio.

Its a game of football and teams get caught out with a high line or sitting deeper otherwise nobody would ever score !

I don’t believe that’s the actual rule/law but refs do allow a bit of common sense (yes I know) to be applied if they feel like it. How many times have we seen throw ins by the corner flag allowed to be taken 15 yards up the pitch?

VAR allows us to play the high line with the knowledge offsides can be checked after a goal and correctly ruled out. Without VAR there will be mistakes with goals given even though we caught them offside. He’s essentially claiming we’re getting away with the rules being applied... he’s an idiot. It’s like saying someone only won because their opponents couldn’t cheat.

It’s obvious they’re planning for him to take over from Lineker as the presenter too.  ::)

Got sick of Lineker's quest for tweets, done him for me. Jenas, though, is a whole other level down for smarminess. No insight, no fuck all, just him...blathering. Does anyone listen to him? Surely not

I wonder when Ronaldo signed did he imagine getting so excited about scoring a winner at home to the mighty Norwich to keep them 6th (is that why they are, can’t even be arsed to check).

Or does he not really give a shit as long as he pads his stats a bit more?

Im sure as long as he can stat pad and gets his stupidly large wage each week he probably isn't arsed. Also his ego probably still like the English media still bigging him up as being one of the best in the world like its 2014 still.

He's actually a fantastic focal point striker now at this stage in his career, he offers fuck all else, but as a centre forward he's still really good.
