Boss thread. I've been following it from the beginning and have to chime in with some old school French cheese, which was pretty much the soundtrack of my childhood. I see Joe Dassin has already made an appearance, classic camenbert. I present you a sample of ballades, from Adamo, Alain Barriere, Michel Fugain, Claude Francois (who is a testament to the fluid nature of songs back in the 60's-70's with many of his songs being translated into other languages and vice versa - he completely butchered the Four Tops' Reach out I'll be there) Mike Brant and the prettiest thing in this thread, Francoise Hardy. They were all guilty of a whole lot more cheese, but this should give you an idea of their output.
