The Vernon on Dale Street.  Nice atmosphere, rarely any scallies and not too crowded, although a match will usually be standing room only.
I don't always visit Lobster Pot.  But when I do. I sit.

Dale Street and streets off it are great for the games. Can also sample many an imported draft in the Ship and Mitre to get the ball rolling.

Not sure about our games, but when I've been in and a footy game has been on, they've had the T.V. muted and play crap music - which isn't ideal

There's hundreds of better places to drink on a Saturday night, than the Nash.

Take your pick.

And remember, this weekend is the Mathew Street Festival, so town is gonna be rocking.    Party on dude!

Hi all, i am travelling up to Liverpool on Saturday and my train arrives in at the back of 2. I was just wondering if any pubs around the train station are showing the Liverpool game seeing as though its not on sky

Picture House on London Road will have the match on. 2 minutes walk from the station.

If facing the front of Lime Street Station -  from inside the station.

The Picture House - London Road (200 yards to the right - just past Ma Egeretons)
Paddy's Bar (facing the Picture house)
The Yankee Bar - Lime Street (200 yards left, just past The Crown)

Just to name a couple.

If you want to go a bit further into town, then you won't have much trouble finding the game on in numerous places.

Edit: Jimbo's just beat me to it.

You'd do well to find somewhere not showing the game.

The Vernon on dale st would get my vote, less than 10 minute walk from lime st and Estrella on draft

Last few times in town I've watched the game in the Cross Keys (By where the Liverpool Stadium used to be)

It will be on pretty much everywhere.

There's loads of decent bars and pubs to watch it.

If you want atmosphere, The First national, but be warned, it will be absolutely chocker, and standing and jostling room only.

I think The Lion has games on mute - best check - they'll probably put the sound on seeing as it's a Cup Final

Sorry for bumping an old thread lads, (and sorry if the answer is the same as it has been previously), but anywhere near Hardman Street showing the match today? Going to The Fly in the Loaf for a few soon but I don't think they show 3pm kick offs, do they?

Sorry for bumping this, but I'm looking for a pub close to central station to watch the game today. There's quite a few mentioned in here, but I'm not sure if they still show the game

Cheers

Where are the best places to watch a match in Liverpool which is not on tv? I am looking to watch the West Ham match next Saturday with my Uncle from Australia in a pub in Liverpool but not done it for ages, so any ideas guys would be appreciated.

I'd plump for the Vernon on Dale St. Simply because I like it in there - however the Ev are also playing at 3pm that day and I remember someone saying it's a blue pub.

Ma Egertons has the 3pm games, but it's not really set up ideally in there unless you get a spec in the back room.

The Croc off castle street maybe worth a shot.

Get to town about 2 and ask. Again The Vernon would be my first try, if they say no - try others.

Camp and Furnace is good if they are showing it - probably check there twitter feed nearer the time. A bit different to a traditional pub. Not sure if they show all the Saturday games might depend on what they have in the night time.

The Cross Keys was always good for the football along with the Excelsior next to Ship and Mitre

Used to, but I haven't been in for quite a while. Good atmosphere in there too, bit of singing going on if the match was right for it.
