We seem to be exploiting the left hand side more, I'd like to see Stevie getting more involved, maybe that'll change. If we keep the pressure up I can see us getting a couple at least.

Don't really like the though of Rooney, Hernandez and Nani coming on now! Hope we're up for a cracking second half

Come on. You expect an international forward to roll in it past De Gea on the right. Not hit him straight at him from 8 yards.

With a split second to make the decision no, I don't. I'd rather he had taken it first time on his right but even then it's a difficult chance. A sitter is a tap in under no pressure or an open goal.

reeks of accomodating players rather than putting a side out to put them under pressure.

How do you work that one out when we've dropped a £35m striker, just after a goal in the derby, to play a more mobile and pressing attacking pair  ???

Definately worried about the pace of Nani and Rooney coming on in the second half against a tired Carra etc.

I think we need to get Bellamy on for Kuyt and then consider getting Carroll on at some point, depending on how the match is shaping up round the 60minute mark.  If we are ahead then maybe just bring Henderson on for Adam to keep things fresh in the CM.

Frustrating, which is exactly what Ferguson wanted at this stage.

Was thinking the same. He'll wait for the last 10mins and then throw on Rooney and Nani, and maybe even the little Penis.

This is gonna be tense  :-\

Decent half need to do better in the final third. Whip crosses earlier and a lot less predictable. Come on Redmen
Get a grip lads. They've been *much* shitter than us. Hunkered down behind a parked bus, no shots on target, hardly have been in our half.
this

but Suarez is slighty isolated, needs better support. FFS with misfit Evans and shaky De Gea (although he has done better in recent weeks) we have the shots on goal, lets score some. Tactical battle between the managers I hope it works in our favour.

Gerrard needs to get closer to Suarez and I'm not sure why we are playing so deep.we are playing into the hands of baconface with his counter-attacking tactics in the second half.

I'd hook Lucas and get Carroll on. I have a feeling that the longer he stays on the more likely he is going to incur a red card

Put Gerrard and Adam in the centre, Kuyt and Downing wide, and Carroll and Suarez up top

We'll batter them

It's been a pretty poor affair and I think that's exactly how they wanted it, judging by their team selection. We really need to up the tempo and improve our passing, otherwise a defeat is in the offing. We need a lot more from Gerrard and Downing in particular and we need to get some bodies forward. Our back four have all impressed though.

Good first half overall, lacking a bit in the box.

Only because United are keeping their legs shut. should they open them up then we could get a bit in their box.
I watched a YouTube video and decided that Paul Konchesky looked like a player.

Too right.

story of our season so far from a negative perspective (there are plenty of positives), is not putting away our chances, we'd only dropped points at spurs this season if we'd put a reasonable amount of our chances away, just hope the one we didn't take in the first half doesn't come back to bite us on the ass.

Utd have come to smother and it's work in general so far, we need to get our pass and move game together, utd left side looks most vulnerable, gotta use it more and stop sending up high balls to luis

looks like one goal might be enough for whichever team get it in this game

Exactly so why are we sitting so deep if they've parked the bus. There entitled to, we've not even shown no ambition support suarez.

Just put this on twitter, no time to transribe for rawk:

If Kenny gets gutsy, or they go 1 up, Carroll on for Kuyt, put him on Evans - Suarez on Ferdinand
9 minutes ago

Good tactics from KK but leaves Suarez alone up top on counter Our best chance is set pieces theirs is if we get sloppy and lose ball
10 minutes ago

2.To negate Mancs natural short passing game applying higher up would mean more space to control for Mancs, they have no "Alonso" to dictate
12 minutes ago

We've got 2 deep lines no pressure until 15 yards after halfway it's: 1. To protect Skrtel and Carra from pace (high line = balls in behind)

To be honest, I'm kinda happy with how things are. Man Utd have put all their defensive players on the pitch. They can only go more attacking. If it's still 0-0 with 70 mins gone they will tire and bring on attack minded players, which in turn will afford us more space to attack on the counter. And with Downing going on threatening runs and Bellamy to perhaps come on at some stage, it means we will continue to  pose a threat and perhaps then it's all about taking 1 really good chance that comes our way.

Of course, the game could go many other ways. But still, I don't agree with the statement that the longer things stay the same the more it favours Man Utd.

As I said during the first half, as much as I fucking hate the man Ferguson has got this spot on, because he's where he wanted to be at half-time. We're pushed back all the time, they're keeping it tight, nullifying Suarez, and it's hard to get in behind. If this game is still the same at 70 minutes then we might be in touble.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

Lucas needs to play the 90mins if possible because his tactical awareness is making a difference.
