I think Italian football has rested on its laurels ever since 2006. Every side they’ve sent to major tournaments since have been distinctly average.

They'll equalize and then spend the rest of the match on the floor. Don't get me wrong, diving and fannying around has become the norm in football, but the Italian national team takes it to the next level.
