And the sad thing is that Digne is a decent, competent left back and a more than capable replacement for the decent, competent but aging Baines.

Instead of actually applauding the club for signing someone who can play football at a decent level (he must be decent in their eyes because Digne hasn't been subjected to the crescendo of boos that Niasse, Schneiderlin, the Cubic Zirconium etc, etc were subjected to - yet) their default position is to immediately start comparing him to a Liverpool player.
