Happy Birthday. Love his voice.

This. Used to absolutely love him announcing Torres as 'the scorer or Liverpool's first goal' - or second, third or fourth haha.

Happy Birthday George, legend is a term bandied around too often these days,  but a legend this man truly is.

Happy Birthday George!

I really like some of the stuff he plays, he played a tune a while back called Raunchy by Bill Justis which was the tune George Harrison played on the bus to persuade John and Paul to let him join the Beatles...now that's a brilliant education from going the match...always supports local bands as well, good or bad ;D

An integral part of the matchgoing experience.

One of the last few visable and audable elements of the old Anfield. A great character to have and God help us with the crass , enthusiastic replacement the club will have for him when... and there will be loads queuing up.

A great understander of the vibe around the fans and when key events happened he knows what to play, his marking of John Peels passing especially.

I have it in my head he played Buzzcocks 'Boredom' and Pop Groups 'Shes' Beyond Good and Evil' in the late seventies..... but maybe that's my memory playing wishful tricks.

Happy Birthday George and for Christ sake , keep going!!

Happy Birthday George! Love his understated team/goal announcements, a far cry from the ridiculous pitchside announcers you get nowadays. Plus he's great at picking suitable songs for different occasions.
