I love GoT but the script and some of the acting is The Walking Dead at it's worst.
I can see the similarities, but GoT on a bad day is still infinitely better than what Walking Dead became pretty much any time after S2.
The disparity in acting ability has always been quite startling in Thrones to me. You've got the likes of Charles Dance, Dianna Rigg and Jonathan Pryce, all superb....and then the completely wooden, one-note Brann and Daenerys who've barely been able to register a single emotion in the 7+ seasons we've been watching them. As others have alluded to, Nikolaj Costar-Waldau's fleeting moment with Brann was probably the best moment of the episode.
That is acting, and a few too many of the main cast can't do that.
