Spot on. And Dave’s is a great post. The atmosphere will be there when it’s needed. Yes, I know it’s needed in every game, but for now there’s an element of a collective keeping things in check. Partly a bit of tension, definitely a smidge of concern despite the position, but generally a 30 year collective memory that says, ‘long way to go’. The atmosphere will improve as the distance shortens, and crucially whenever it’s needed most along the way.
