Ronaldo falls to the floor after being hit by a cigarette lighter. Get a grip you big fairy. Not condoning the throwing of it but his reaction is embarrassing.

That Manquillo fall looked horrible..

Read there that Ronaldo has scored 41 penalties now in his last 5 seasons. That's mental, how do they get so many.

Oh well, Atletico's squad was really stretched this time with injuries and competing in three competitions was always going to be tough. Ancelotti has restored normal order in Madrid.

About what? Barca are higher in the league ;D and are as good as in Copa del Rey final.

I am just stating the fact. The tranny was running and sure enough, there was a contact, but definitely not enough to bring him down. He could have continued, he had even a pause before going down. Embarrassing stuff from the greasy one.

This is yet another difference between Messi and Ronaldo. Players rugby tackle to bring Messi down because he continues as long as he can, at times carrying several players hanging from his hands and shoulders.

Fair enough, but he is extremely annoying and petulant, isn't he? The red card he got the other day vs Athletic Bilbao rejuvenated my dislike toward him. First, he appeals for a non-existent penalty, then scratches Gurpegi's face and after that acts like he has done nothing wrong.

And now, diving for a penalty. Cannot like this guy at all.

Are you trying to say that was a good decision?

It was the pause that did it for me. He feels the breeze on his leg, decides that he is not at a great angle anymore and goes down like he's an extra in Platoon. Still obviously ridiculously talented, but so unlikeable IMO. There's no need for it.

A view from The Guardian, slightly different from the one Atletico lovers have in here,

[...]
Well there goes the miracle. Ronaldo scoots into the box in an inside-left position and is tripped by a clumsy and inept challenge from behind by Manquillo. A clear penalty, even if the home crowd don’t entirely concur with such a perception.
[...]

[...]
And it’s another clear penalty. Bale plays the ball down the line to Isco, who returns it with a fine backheel. Bale pushes the ball into the area and is brought down by a stunningly ill-conceived sliding tackle from Insua. It was right on the line of the area but I’m pretty sure it was inside.
[...]

It was clumsy for sure, but he took an age to go down and initailly kept his balance following the contact. I think it was harsh

Its one of those  things. There's no doubt Ronaldo could have stayed on his feet. It was obviously a dive but was it a penalty? Manquilo has a slight nudge on his back but nowhere near enough to send him over like that, Ronaldo takes one more step before going down. Its a harsh decision but i've seen them being given before both in Premier League and La Liga. Harsh but if you touch a player from behind in your own box 9 out of 10 times you're giving a penalty away. Ronaldo  was looking for it and Manquilo's inexperience got the better of him.

Did Real Sociedad renounce to play the 2nd leg against the almighty Barça?

Harsh decision but yeah could easily be a penalty and unless you are a die hard Barcelona fan you would accept it for what it is.

Doesn't bother me mate, he's one of the greatest players ever to have played the game, I appreciate his talents. Messi is no saint either.
But I can understand your bias being a Barca fan.

Neymar investigation held up as Fifa deny access to documents‏

Football's world governing body has refused to reveal the documents requested by judge Pablo Ruz on the grounds of confidentiality

The investigation into the transfer of Neymar to Barcelona has been held up after Fifa denied access to documents needed for the case to continue.

Spanish judge Pablo Ruz has requested a number of documents and paperwork surrounding the transfer of the 22-year-old from Santos to Barca, which included documentation from Fifa as well as Neymar's contract with N&N (the player's father's company), Santos' contract and paperwork and independent information from finance company Deloitte.

However, the investigation has been delayed following Fifa's decision to withhold the information as they say it is confidential and should be retrieved through the Swiss authority.

Ruz will send the Swiss Courts a letter of request asking for judicial assistance to allow access to the documents, which is expected to be a formality.

Neymar is currently making his return from an ankle injury he suffered against Getafe in the Copa del Rey in January.

Seems that there is a lot of people who will potentially be exposed out of this transfer.
