I think it's just to be alternative, to attract customers that wouldn't buy the home or away tops. If you make a 3rd kit in the same style as the others then although they will be more liked, they won't appeal to anyone to buy as they'd still rather the home or away tops.

Fortuna Düsseldorf have released a new kit, just to be worn in one game I believe this season.

It's a throwback to some of their 90's kits, when they where sponsored by German punk band Die Toten Hosen.

Guy on the right is of course Campino - lead singer of Die Toten Hosen, and he of drunken post-Champions League final sing-a-long videos with Kloppo

Campino is a massive LFC fan.

Ireland get another new kit, which seems to happen every 6 months now. Its from NB and is... not good. That's not a shade of green we ever associate with our football team. Bring back O'Neills I say (the kit, not the manager)

It's nice that we commemorate where we always finish in our qualification groups on the front of the jersey though.
