found out the other day that mike myers (austin powers) is a massive liverpool fan anybody else know of any other fans like him and i dont mean cilla

His parents were from Liverpool, and he's been many times.  He's even been pissed on, on the Kop (pre-1994 obviously).  They scattered his dad's ashes from a Mersey Ferry.

When he started reading the script for The Cat in the Hat, he did it in a scouse accent because his mum used to read it to him as a kid.

As Scottish Don says - Craig Charles

Posted this in another thread earlier this month.

He was doing the commentary on Takeshies Castle (Mad Japanese game show for those who ain't seen it).

There was a Japanese girl wearing an old Liverpool shirt (Hitachi or Crown Paints).

Craig says "She's wearing the Liverpool colours, she'll do for me"

What's his name Redmond - used to be Finn in Hollyoaks. Seen him at loads of games away from home. Think he also has a ST at Anfield.

1. Rosanna Davidson: Miss World 2003
Current Miss World Rosanna might not have picked up her beautiful looks from her father - million-selling Irish singer Chris De Burgh - but he did pass down his love of Liverpool Football Club to his beautiful daughter. She's as passionate about the team in Red as her dad which means she's not just a pretty face!

2. Pope John Paul II

According to the Anfield lyricists, the head of the Roman Catholic Church kindly told Man United exactly where to go on their last visit to see him in Rome. His Liverpool affiliation was affirmed this year after meeting his fellow countryman Jerzy Dudek. Sources inside The Vatican also revealed to liverpoolfc.tv that the Pope follows Jerzy's career at Liverpool very closely.

3. Nelson Mandela

The pioneering black rights campaigner was delighted to meet the Liverpool squad as they toured South Africa during his time as president in 1994. He was presented with a Reds shirt by skipper John Barnes who also conducted a landmark interview with the 20th century icon. Mandela told Barnes that he supported Liverpool Football Club during the interview.

4. Sven Goran Eriksson

After rumours in the press suggesting that the England coach had touted Steven Gerrard to Chelsea in the summer, manywill be surprised to hear that the saucy Swede was in fact a Liverpool fan before coming to England. Both he and Tord Grip gew up supporting the Reds.

5. Angelina Jolie

When the Hollywood beauty isn't raiding tombs, she's cheering the Mighty Reds on to victory. She revealed that her baby son, Maddox, "only wants to play for Liverpool" after he was admitted to Alder Hey Hospital in West Derby for treatment. The hospital is just minutes from Liverpool training complex.

6. Samuel L. Jackson

'Our man in Inglewood' SLJ fell in love with the club after attending a Merseyside derby while shooting the movie 'The 51st State' in Liverpool. From an executive box, the 'Pulp Fiction' star was seen waving his arms and singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' during the game. Jackson also had a few bad words to say about the people of Manchester which one him even more respect from the Liverpool fans.

7. Kirsty Gallacher

The gorgeous brunette daughter of golfer Bernard has always been vocal in her love for the Reds. Why else do you think we watch 'Kirsty's Home Videos'?

8. Rio Ferdinand

The Manchester United might have forgotten to take his drug test but his memory isn't all bad - he can remember he grew up as a Liverpool fan idolising the great John Barnes.

9. Dr Dre

The Westside hip-hop producer - responsible for bringing Eminem to the masses - took time out from an NWA concert in Brixton to state: "They're the team I always look out for when I'm at home. Back in 1988 I was in London on a promotional tour with NWA, and one night we were watchinbg TV and these cool cats in red came on the box. They whupped some poor dudes four or five zip." Dre claimed John Barnes was his favourite Liverpool player but refered to Patrik Berger as "the bomb"!

DIEGO IS AN ADOPTED SCOUSER
Steve Hunter 29 May 2005
Football legend Diego Maradona was so enthralled with the passion of the Liverpool fans and the incredible comeback in Istanbul that he has now become an adopted scouser and is a Liverpool fan.
Maradona, one of the greatest players the world has ever seen, says Liverpool were a credit to football and gave a perfect example of what the game is all about.

Maradona was in Istanbul working for Argentine TV and said: "The English club proved that miracles really do exist. I've now made Liverpool my English team. They showed that football is the most beautiful sport of all.

"You knew they could defend but the team showed they could play too and wrote a page in the history books. The match will last forever.

"The Liverpool supporters didn't let me go to sleep the night before, there were 10 of them to every three Milan supporters. They showed their unconditional support at half-time when they were losing 3-0 and still they didn't stop singing."
