You can get an emergency passport sorted in time mate. Get yourself down your local passport office lively. Won't get far without one.

Found it now! What a plonker  ;D

I'm up for the whatsapp group. Mainly to stay updated about what's going on and for avoiding potential trouble etc. I think it's a good idea.
Would be even more fun if you could stand up to a hook to the jaw for being a snidey bastard. But then that's reality! No one needs to 'swim or drown' in a coward's paradise.

Its great to see so many coming together for mutual information sharing and support.  All stick together and there is no need for people to feel isolated and worried.  To quote a snippet from an old song "We won't be mastered by these Roma bastards cos we are the greatest of all".
Rather a day as a lion than a lifetime as a sheep.

I can only be nice to one person a day.  Today is not your day.  Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.
I tried being reasonable.  I didn't like it.  Old enough to know better.  Young enough not to give a fuck.

Certainly wouldn’t be going with any youngsters and personally wouldn’t touch it without a ticket

Just not worth it

Taking my 12 year old for his 11th Euro away, not letting those shithouse twats spoil the great times we have following the reds around Europe, doing the day trip this time as hopefully a bit safer but will be on red alert all the time we are there.

The club will have mobile numbers of all who bought tickets through the TO. I would imagine they are going to send out a text with information somewhere.

In my opinion it would be in our interests to not post that link on here, on the forum, so if any ultras get hold of that information they can work out how to get to us. Or start posting it on twitter or anything daft.

Just an idea...

I don't see any of the club info being stuff that the roma supporters don't know already.  The pick-up/drop-off points for buses will be the same ones that Rome police use for all aways, and the ultras will know these well enough already.  That was the case in Napoli, when the police dropped us near the port and we had to walk back into the city, the napoli supporters knew exactly where we would be.  They were ready for us, driving down the main road on their mopeds with passengers on the back wheelding baseball bats.

But to be honest, I don't anticipate it will be like that in Rome - or at least not before and after the game if you take the recommended buses.  They will drop us centrally after the game - either at villa borghese or at termini - they're not far apart, and we won't be in an isolated area as we were in Napoli.  In any case, I believe that most of the Roma ultras live in the outskirts, and if they keep us back for 2 hours after the game, I can't see them hanging around that long.  I think the best advice is to keep away from the key Roma supporter areas prior to the game, don't wander round Rome in colours, and don't get so pissed up that you can't keep your wits about you.

I hope there is extensive dialogue going on between LFC and the Roman authorities. It would even be nice to see a few English bizzies joining the Italian police, or is that too much to ask? I've got this image of 5,000 Reds tightly huddled together in large groups like fucking penguins on icebergs trying to avoid sharks. I'd like to actually enjoy the trip...  or is that a naive concept?

We had to pick up in Naples and it was fine as we went to the team hotel for it. Don't think they'd make you go to the Ground for this one either. They're not that stupid.

Far too much paranoia here for me (yes, Rome/Italy can be a tricky place to go), but be honest most Euro away's have their danger. Yes-Italy most probably is worse than others.

Here are a few places to remember we went to that had their dangers and risks...Turkey not long after the Leeds Fans were killed, Romania where we had tanks outside our hotel and the railway station, Russia, even when we played Bayer Laverkusen having to use Cologne as the main place to stay so we had a footy special put on and the Cologne fans waited for us to come back and ambushed the platform (just like they had done to other English clubs) poor children and women with no where to go (fuckin skum bags, they caught us good until our hardened lads/men ran them down the streets and the rest of our supporters could get back to their hotels safely).

There are certain rules of self discipline to try to stick to (no. i'm not trying to be high and mighty-just trying to put Euro away's back into context)
Keep your eyes open and your wits about you,
Try and not have too much to drink before the match (I have my misses with me and still find it difficult not to get carried away in the Sun and having a good time with fellow reds).

This is the one people will laugh at most (and think who the fuck does he think he is? the answer just another person trying to give good advice from my experiences that I have had in the past and know I will experience in the future!), but please try your hardest to make the effort to go to the ground earlier and in NUMBERS/Groups because they WILL get the ones that go last minute all bevvied up who are in smaller groups.

This is my last point I'd like to say...we've got some where in the region of 5000 supporters heading out to Rome, In that amount of people no matter where they are from or for what reason they are travelling? there will always be some that will want to cause/look for trouble, and it will happen next week, so if you do see it and decide to just stand back from a distance and observe (film it) be very careful because this can be when you are vulnerable as they are clever fuckers (yes even cowardly) because they wont want to fight the others that stand their ground they prefer to just pick off numbers to claim some sort of victory and boast :butt

As you can tell I'm not a youth anymore but I do still like to enjoy Euro away's the same as the next supporter of the MIGHTY REDS. Stay safe and lets hope we get big Ears back  :champ :scarf
