Champions League away leg live screening at Anfield

Live Away Screening at Anfield

Liverpool Football Club is offering supporters the opportunity to come together to watch the Reds’ Champions League away leg against Manchester City at Anfield Stadium.

Supporters can enjoy watching the game on a giant screen in front of The KOP and soak up the live atmosphere.

Tickets will be available online from 1pm Wednesday 28 March until 5pm Tuesday 10 April.

For more information on this event click here.

To purchase tickets click here.

Tickets are subject to availability.

Thought they might do something like this. Tickets are £10 a pop. Can't make up my mind whether the Kop or the pub would be better for atmosphere and I'd imagine a lot will wait until the result of the first leg is known before booking tickets

Gonna head down to this, was that or the pub and at least this way it'll stop me refiling at the bar every 2 minutes with being a nervous wreck. Saying that anyone reckon they'll be selling beers inside the ground for this?

I do like the article for the release of the match:

"Tickets for the live screening are available to purchase directly from the club’s website until 5pm on Tuesday April 10. After this time we will not be able to accommodate any further walk-up sales. Turnstiles will open at 6.15pm with entry closing at 8pm. "

It's only 4.20pm and it's already been taken off ::)

Maybe give them a call ?

I saw a couple of people on my Facebook went to this but the size of the screens at the front of the kop didn't look that large to be fair there was a lot of criticism on twitter and the like over it but could have been the photo angle but people did at least get to take a photo with a replica European cup....

I went in the end, was pretty good to be fair, lots of singing, decent atmosphere and could drink in your seat! On the Kop! Very weird. Plus I spilt half of it down the next row when Salah scored but no one cared  ;D

Screens were decent, no problems there at all, apart from listening to the shitty commentary but I know people can't do without nowadays.

If in the very good chance I can't get my hands on a ticket for Roma away I'll get a ticket for this if its on again for sure. Aside from anything it was a good distraction for my nerves which otherwise would have been through the roof watching at home!

I'm interested in the tech side of this to see if it's worth doing for Roma away, and how it would compare to the alternative option of a decent large HD picture in a pub.

How many screens were there?  What size were they?  Some of the screens you see at festivals vary enormously in their picture quality.  Were the brightness and resolution good?

Did they have decent speaker banks, or did they just feed through the ground's PA system?

Depending if they've got enough staff to man it. The echo won't be showing it like the Europa league final as there is a UFC event on

Tickets on sale now, was even a queue! So I'd get on there if anyone wants good seats. I reckon they'll extend seating down the main stand though if the Kop sells out in the next week.

I've just bought two tickets for this for the final. Do they activate our cards for it? My mate hasn't got a card, so I bought both of them with my name and card - it did let me check out fine without the usual warning about having to allocate two seats in one name. But how does my mate get in then?

Yeah, nothing solid online or on email apart from saying they issue paper tickets, so i'm assuming they will send them again like for Roma and City. TO can't even get the date right on one of the pages so not surprised they haven't even put on anywhere saying how you will receive them.  ::)

They should’ve given priority to the people missing out in the ballot

Dunno. It might have made the ballot more competitive. I could've entered the ballot, but didn't, because I knew I can't go to Kiev. But if these live screening tickets were depending on being in the ballot, I would have entered, and so would have a lot of others.

They could have at least waited for the results of the ballot being out before announcing the screening...

they've have screens infront of the kop and main stand - why not open the lower kem and put screens there too, i'm sure they'd be interest as people have missed out in the ballot, there's no echo arena option, pubs will be chocka and some have over 18s policy.

To be fair to the TO, they don't really have much experience with selling tickets for large events in stadiums almost every single week.

I agree, it should have been opened up (the screening at Anfield) to those that went on the waiting list and then to those that have attended other screenings and finally, general sale.
