Masterchef
« on: March 1, 2018, 07:03:49 pm »
Anyone tuning in. Second episode tonight.

Monday's was a good heat and I think the right 3 people went through to the QF.  The ginger haired lad James was easily the best and cooked some seriously good looking food.

Never watched a full series of Masterchef but might make this the exception.

Apparently there's a guy in tonight's heat who is facing jail for fraud!!

Might just check that out.

I seen half of last seasons and it was very good, save for the best guy not winning.

I only watch on I player - so don't take that as gospel.

On Monday and Thursday.  3 go through on each night and they face off on Friday.

Not sure how many of the 6 go through tonight

The Malaysian girl stormed it last night. I'd say tonight its a fight between her and Ginger James from Monday

Yeah its a bift unfair as they have to cook to Greg and Johns taste. Which is most definitely on the spicy side.  Feel a bit sorry for the traditional chefs who will be up against it unless they start loading their dishes with spice.

Last 16 knockout week starts tonight.  Looking forward to it.

At this stage i'd be betting on Moonira or Nisha but Kenny is a dark horse.

Tonight's episode was one of the best I've seen in terms of standard. Absolutely no clear favourite at this stage. They're all really likeable this year aswell.

Spot on mate.  You could ague that all 6 of last nights dishes were restaurant quality.  Simon was very unlucky to get knocked out, everyone else was simply too good.

This is shaping up to be a brilliant end to the show.  You really couldn't call a winner out of this last 8 and I think John and Gregg have got it pretty much spot on with who they kept in and send home all series.

I do think the lady Alex who has Portuguese origins and the Doctor from Thailand will struggle in the next working kitchen.  They looked miles out of their depth the other week when they had a top chef shouting at them to hurry up.

At the moment I think I want the Pilot guy to win it but Greg and Kenny are the fav's i'd say.

Are you referring to the Gnocchi disaster on Wednesday that basically sealed Nisha's doom during the mass catering challenge for the RAF guys?  Then yep, she really screwed that up.  Or David abusing his Gnocchi before the suffragette lunch?  :)

I caught up with Wednesdays episode yesterday evening.  Its the first time I've watched Masterchef BEFORE I had my tea. Oh my god it was torture, I was literally salivating.  Especially at David's guinea fowl and chorizo scotch egg, with asparagus and salsify soldiers.  It looked absolutely divine :lickin

Probably right mate

I just can't see Alex surviving the working kitchen this week. She is a great cook but so timid when under pressure and pro chefs are shouting at her.

I can see Pilot David doing really well under the pressure cooker environment of a pro kitchen though and he cant be discounted.

Gonna be a great week.
