Alonso levels of dedication there. In fact he knocks Alonso into a cocked hat.

He is, I love the lad. When scuffed his shot being the highest forward in their box on the break in the second half and failed to make it 3 nil I cursed him.

I had dosh on 3-nil, Moreno anytime :)

Moreno & Trent were simply solid today.

Nonsense that. Teams with shit fullbacks have won countless titles. Its the least important position on the pitch. Fullbacks who play for top teams get overrated to the sky for no fucking reason.

You’ve watched Dani Alves in his prime and Marcelo for Madrid and you think this? Wow 😳

Moreno is really flying at the moment, long may it continue!

It's so wonderful to see our team have some proper widemen in both the attacking and defending positions. Those four positions were black holes for a while but with Mane, Salah, Newberto Monero and TAA, we've got league winning widemen.

Just read in the Echo that Alberto chose to stay with the team in the hotel rather than see the birth of Alberto jnr. Some might disagree but this is the attitude that we need.

Felicitaciones Alberto.

Can't Fault his commitment. I think he was treated rather harshly after his nightmare final.
There were others who have had shockers and not been treated as badly.
Now he is starting to look very good now. Good luck to the lad.

That is some level dedication to his profession, missing the birth of his child for a game...

Showed my wife the article on Moreno in the Echo and needless to say, she had some choice words regarding his decision.  ;D

Coming back to his performances, he is easily the most improved player in the side this season. His decision making and composure has come leaps and bounds from last year. He always had the fundamentals to be a very good fullback, it was just a question of understanding when to do what in the scheme of the match.

Good stuff.

Kloppo comments about Ablie:

'I never had something like this' - Klopp on Moreno redemption

"I never had something like this, I never had it to be honest," he told Liverpoolfc.com.

"This season is not a surprise, the surprise is how dealt with last season. There was not one bad word in the whole season.

"Yes, he was in my office, yes, he asked what he could do better, and we spoke about the things he had to do better.

"On the other hand, Milly played really well and he's a machine, he could play every two days, so there was not a lot of reasons to make the change then he had no rhythm.

"I felt that it was unfair after the season, I thought, 'Damn, we didn't use him often enough'.

"Before the season, he came to my office and asked again and I told him we get another full-back but it was not the plan for Milly to be in the full-back race again so you decide what happens - and he decided it.

"He's now a much better defender, that's how it is, he's a brilliant footballer.

"When you see him shooting here, you think he cannot shoot - he shoots like crazy! It's unbelievable how good he is! In the games so far, obviously, it didn't settle.

"How he reacted on last year is really, really good."

Lets just get the lad signed up to a new contract, fully deserves it IMO
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Roy Keane's article about Moreno is an incoherent rant without substance or technical evaluation about any of the goals conceded versus Seville. Indeed I’m astonished by the entire media reaction in addition to our own fans pernicious over-reaction last week.
For the first goal, he’s standing in his allocated space and nobody helps him by tracking the runner who steals in front of him with a good header.
OK, the one, strong common factor is that he should never have placed his hand Pablo Sarabia. Some of my mates wrongfully claimed it was innocuous - it wasn't, it gave an awful referee and opportunity to punish us. How many footballers do that in every game though?
But most infuriating for me was the penalty and how Liverpool fans have rushed to blame Moreno when Ben Yedder takes at least two steps before grounding himself when he could easily stayed up.
I’m not suggesting he should be Liverpool’s long term LB, but publicly slaughtering the lad without closely studying the gifs here mean it’s a confirmation bias.

Jurgen showed faith in Albie today and he had a superb game. Forget the Albie moment in the second half, it doesn’t matter. He was competent throughout the game. He may not play for us next season, but he’s not quite the inept dolt some that Liverpool fans damage the ends of their fingers out typing about.

He's quick and made some good interceptions today. But he still scares me when he flies into the challenge. Also it seemed like whoever was playing right wing was getting an unopposed cross in every time... I dunno. He has some qualities, but overall he still doesnt convince me, despite his clear improvement

best defender on the pitch today.

Didn't keep hazard quiet but dealt with him when the likes of hendo and milly were struggling with his runs.

his turnaround have been superb when everyone including me thought his career in red ending with the signing of robbo

Really really love how he's turned his Liverpool career around. He's been really good this season. Yes, the Sevilla game was a glimpse of old, but we can't really expect anyone to go through a season without mistakes. To play like he did yesterday day on the back of a potentially mind wrecking game and substitution in midweek speaks volumes about his mental fortitude.

I thought he did great against Chelsea. The lack of thought and concentration on Wednesday may have been down to tiredness. I don't think newborns generally give a fuck about what daddy does for work, and sleep deprivation is a bugger.

What a monster performance yesterday from Albie with 18 ball recoveries. I had no doubt he'd bounce back in a proper way.

Only 1 bad performance in 16 this season. Keep it up Albie.
