Klopp has precedent for having systemic training injuries. It is not a serious issue yet, since he came to Liverpool, but hopefully, it remains that way.

I just worry that these young players are pushing themselves too hard without knowing their own limits. So many of our under 18's have had their development stunted with terrible injuries, I imagine they're probably trying too hard to impress.

Another player injured. Granted, he isn't a senior team member, but still questions will soon arise about Klopp's training intensity.
Wenger, does the same, year in year out, and has most of his squad out injured, always.
We don't want to be going down that line.
Hopefully, we stay injury free, further ahead. But, a kind of pattern with training based injuries is coming to the fore, it seems.

Another? Grujic and Karius obviously had nothing to do with the training methods.

You got the data to back that up?

Also, was this Klopp with Kornmayer? Given he is here handling that side of things.

Who are all these training injuries we've had this summer?

Level of competition is higher in the PL, we will need every possible advantage, we can get.

It's not data of course, but I do remember one of the Dortmund fans last season commenting on how massively better their injury record was since Tuchel took over...

Oh god. People are going to bang on about training regimes with every single injury aren't they?? People on here, people in the media.... they'll have no evidence, no clue what they're talking about, no idea whether there's any cause or just plain randomness but they'll bang on about it all the same.

Could be down to loads of factors though, far from just a change in training methods.

Karius punched his own player in a game
Matip is coming back from an operation from an injury sustained at his previous club
Gomez is coming back from an injury sustained before Klopp came here
Lucas got injured during a game
Grujic clashed heads with another player during a game

Not sure when Sakho did his, but was certainly before the new fitness guy joined us.

So yeah, who are all these players injured during training?

Any news on how his recovery is going? Looking forward to seeing a bit more of this unit once he's back. Very excited about seeing how he gets on in some senior games this year.

Think that may just be his running style, making him look a little slow.  From watching him in our previous games, he's never seemed to struggle for pace.

He plays in centre mid he doesn't need to be a speedster. His speed is ok for what he's asked to do.

Lovely confidence on the lad at this level.

It's getting him game time at a higher level is going to be a problem here though, with Grujic looking for games, a new midfielder, Milner back when we get a left back as well.

Great to see he's kicked on since the injury, such a classy player  :)
