I seem remember a couple of year's ago RAWK was debating whether competition for keepers was a good thing or not.

My mind wasn't made up at the time but we have had a couple of leaky seasons since then, and putting the beautiful girlfriends and dog's bollocks to one side for a moment, I can only see good coming from this.

Welcome to Loris! Good news, and I hope he goes on to have a brilliant career with us. As a traditionalist, I'm pleased to read he's got the number 1 shirt too. Always strange to me that goalkeepers have different numbers, but then I still think the starting team should have 1-11, and if you get and keep a number, it's because you're the best at the club in that position.

He's good and will get better. Depending on how you view it, this season just gone he's probably the second or third best keeper in the Bundesliga. And Germany have a conveyor belt of talent at that position.

We needed a genuine alternative to Mignolet. Bogdan doesn't provide it & maybe Klopp doesn't fancy using Danny Ward so excellent news.

I've very pleased about this.  Given we have fewer games next season it will be interesting to see what the gameplan is.  I think Migs is an excellent 2nd choice but I think he has fallen somewhat short of the standards we'd expect for first pick between the sticks.

Also glad to see us getting our business in early.  At this rate we'll have all our transfers tied up before the window even officially opens!
