You keep telling yourself they've no chance. They've barely spent anything by their standards in recent years, so they've a huge amount waiting to be used. They could spend 200m on him without blinking. Levy wouldn't turn that down, regardless of what you wish to believe. Whether he leaves depends on what Kane wants. Let's see how loyal he is to Tottenham when one of the best clubs around are offering him 2 or 3 times more than what you can offer.

Yes Levy would turn down 200 million. I don't get why people find it so hard to understand when Spurs have said Kane is priceless. Why would Spurs decide 200 million is better than having the best striker in the world? It makes no sense.

Obviously if Kane wants out that is different but you make it sound like if 200 million was slapped on the table levy would be like Kane, pack yer bags mate we want that cash. Its nonsense.

Anyway it seems this subject pops up once a month on here and we go round in circles. If someone can point out a reliable newspaper or source which has said real Madrid have made an opening bid for Kane, which is what the guy said above and I shot down..Im all ears. Its now 8am and I don't see any reports anywhere.

I also don't see any reports saying Kane wants out or any reports that Spurs will sell for 200 million. So I feel I'm in a strong position to say it's a load of bollocks. The speculation won't end because he is a world class player and the media write crap to get clicks but I don't know a single Spurs fan who is worried about losing Kane this summer because we know it isn't happening.

You do realise the stadium is fully financed and we don't have to sell the likes of Kane because of it? Well clearly you don't.

Amongst the other reasons where Kane is different from the Bale situation...how long have you got?
Ofcoarse it's fully financed, it wouldn't get built otherwise! That doesn't mean the 300 million extra hasn't got to be paid back at some poijt in some way mate. Levy and his master Joe Lewis 'who has zero interest in football' Will sell if the price is 200 million  or over.
I'm not convinced Poch won't be joining him as he's in there sights. Who says no to Real Madrid? Other than our Stevie ofcoarse :)

I actually don't think Kane will leave England, doesn't comea acrosse as the sort of person with the nouse or bravery, sophistication or savvy to want to leave his comfort zone, and actually try a new league. Not to say he'll stay at Spurs. I can see him moving to Man Utd or City in the next couple years.

Exactly how I see the situation.
Can't imagine Kane going anywhere but United or City, but as long as Mourinho is there to keep United down, and Pep at City (doubt he'd pick Kane) than I doubt Kane will shift.
Probably will end up at staying at Tottenham for some time.

Real have a 400million (plus) war chest to spend this summer. They’ll be in for him. Whether they get him is another matter entirely. It’s an odd one for me. Kane looks like he is quite content at Spurs. He comes across as quite an ordinary level headed fella. I think Spurs will keep hold of him personally. He will go I don’t doubt that but it won’t be this summer... how old is he? 24(?) another season in England I reckon after this current one and then he will go.

If Real come in for Kane, he'll go. He'd be stupid not to, Spurs are a good team but he'd definitely win more at Real. If Real are smart they'll sell Ronaldo to the Mancs and buy Kane. And if Primativ thinks Levy won't sell if the price is high enough he's in for shock come the Summer.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

If Real officially bid for him (That's a big IF) then he will leave, no one says no indefinitely.

Real are going to go big in this transfer window, they'll want to show that they still have the spending power. They want a new "Galactico" because to be honest theirs are starting to lose their shine. Don't surprised to see them break the transfer record this year.

“You can’t stand in his way.” “They always get their man eventually” etc etc. I’m sure those adages will be trotted out again. ::)

If Spurs don’t get back into the Champions League next season then he’ll be gone like a shot. The only reason he’ll stay on till late in the window would be to play the first game in the new stadium. He strikes me as the type who’d value scoring the first goal there. They see that sort of thing as a trophy down there don’t they.  ;)

If Pochettino goes then Kane will follow. Nailed on.

Really can't see him leaving next season. Would be a PR disaster to sell Kane in the same season we move into the new stadium. If we don't win anything this season or next though I can definitely see him getting itchy feet. He's too good not to be winning things.

Or people are just making up stuff because it suits their stance.  I don't know which clubs apart from PSG having 200 million burning a hole in their pocket. Barcelona stretched themselves to sign Coutinho but that was precisely because PSG met Neymars buyout clause. Something Barcelona clearly felt was an impossibility hence why they agreed to that clause at the time.

Pretty sure Real Madrids president is on record as saying Kane is too expensive. I really don't think it's as easy as it was for Spanish clubs to cherry pick English teams best players. Liverpool didnt have to sell Coutinho for financial reasons, they did because the player really wanted the move. That could happen with Kane but not yet. Not for a couple more seasons if ever.

Likewise Madrid have failed to sign De Gea. Courtois hasn't gone from Chelsea yet despite continuously being linked. And what about Hazard? It will be interesting to see what Madrid do this summer because for certain they do need some fresh blood.

Madrids pulling power is phenomenal but financially the PL isn't as easily plundered as it used to be even as recently as Bale and Modric.

Kane won't leave this summer. He will in 2019 though. Madrid will come in for Hazard, Kane and Salah imo. With all 3 ending up there by 2019. Nothing us, Chelsea spurs can do about it.

Benzema, Ronaldo and Bale all replaced by summer 2019.  Will probably cost them £600m mind.

That is a coded message to Kane's agent to agitate for a move.

Has Levy offered any support for your instance that he is not for sale at any price? Every Spurs saga I bothered to notice seems to end with the player leaving for a hard driven price. And Spurs don't seem to have any qualms at all about selling to domestic rivals. But it is alright, I am sure it will be different this time.

Not convinced especially as there seems to be very strong interest in signing Neymar as well.

Well I think Hazard could be the one they get this season.

I think Levy will want Kane for the new stadium. And I can't see our owners wanting more bad press after selling Coutinho in Jan by selling Salah in summer, surely we can hold onto our best players for more than a year!

And with Neymar can't see that happening.

Stop talking sense, Tommy.

Real apparently want Hazard, Thibo/De Gea, really doubt they can fork out for two of them and Kane. Hope they do just to see Primativs reaction and please go for all them if it means they stay away from The Egyptian King  :wave

He'll be gone in 18 months. Again as will the other players I mentioned if Madrid come in for them. Barcelona or Madrid come in for your players they go eventually. De Gea is the only one I can think of they didn't get their way. But I'm not sure he was their main priority if he was he'd be there now.

If anything I think Neymar is the most likely, just because of the immense powers that would engineer such a move. It may take PSG taking in a huge sum or even a player (someone out the blue like Ronaldo or Asensio) but I reckon that will happen in the next year or two.

I think the likes of Hazard and Salah are fall back options.

I really hope so. But if you look at the list of clubs we appear to be the easy target compared to PSG and Chelsea.

They are nailed on to get Kane. Think therefore will be two of Hazard, Salah and Neymar.

If they win a trophy this year then I can see him staying as he's still young  enough to get a move in 2020 at the top of his game. IF they don't AND Real come in its tough to see him not go.
They pay pretty tame (shit) wages too compared to the big sides.

I honestly don't think they'll sell anyone because of the close to £1 billion stadium they're building, and they'll be able to just carry on spending as normal and none of their players will agitate for much bigger contracts......

Who bought them and the value of the contract will be public knowledge soon, at what level would it have to be to put peoples minds at ease that we do not have to sell to finance the stadium?

I agree, but I think this would be the case with or without the stadium.  Toby could due to his contract situation (I don't think he will, we will take the hit for the £25M next year) and Rose due to his injuries and attitude are my only doubts.

I can't see it at all, would be really surprised if it happens.  I know he is not rated on here but he is a really useful player (fills a number of positions) and I can't see them paying what we would demand.

We'll see.

Its not just the fact that they haven't won anything for ages and haven't threatened to either, but they have a lot of the better players in each position in the league yet don't earn the same wages as players at other clubs. From what I can see Alderwiereld, Vertonghen and Dembeles contracts are up at the end of next season with Erikssen, Son and Lamela the season after. Kane, Alli and Lloris are the only big players properly tied down and you'd imagine certainly Kane and Alli will be asking for pretty hefty payrises at some point.

So yeah, we'll see. Fair play if they keep all their big players, because they've invested well and grown organically and I'd much rather see that than the likes of Manchester City or Chelsea (much as Spurs are a horrible club right now) just chucking money about.

If Alderweireld doesn't sign a new deal he'll be gone this summer if that clause is legit. You'd expect what, ten clubs to pay that and offer him what he's worth even at 29. An elite CB for three/four years for 25m is great value.
Maybe the group, led by your leadership, will see these drafts as PR functions and brilliant use of humor

Hey Claus, fuck off.
