mix of both actually. Giving up lane and not strengthening when all the top 4 are already looking stronger than last season. Wont be shocked if they finish out of CL places. Losing Alli and Kane is seriously going to impact the quality of their play.
Losing Alli and Kane? Last time I checked they were fully committed Spurs players and going nowhere....
Look, we hear it every summer, but the fact is, other teams have to strengthen just to catch up with Spurs, let alone move ahead of them.
When I look at it, Spurs as of this moment, still have one of the top 3 GKs in the league, in Lloris, the best CB in the league in Alderweireld, top 2 DM in the league in Wanyama (Kante being the other), statistically the best attacking midfielder in the league in Eriksen, a powerhouse who dominates every opposition in midfield in Dembele, and three attacking players who hit over 20 goals each last season in Son, Alli and Kane, and the best striker in the league in Kane.
So other clubs can sign as many players as they want, but they have it all to do to prove they can be as good as the players Spurs have, let alone better.
I do agree that playing at Wembley could affect us big time, but all this nonsense about other clubs signing new players automatically means they are stronger is just that, nonsense.
It makes me laugh when fans say that because their clubs have spent loads of money, it automatically means they have strengthened. No, the teams have strengthened when the players prove their quality, until then, all the clubs have done is spend lots of money.
Chelsea have just spent 70 odd million on Morata but is there a hope in hell he scores more than Kane next season?
Salah has it all to do to match Son's output last season, in fact he probably won't get close to over 20 goals.
United have just spent 80 odd million to buy a striker who couldn't even score more than Kane despite Kane missing 3 months of the season through injury.
