me and my bro used to spend ages playing this dinosaur game, we have never been able to find it or remember what it was called. all i remember was you controlled a small dinosaur you could wonder around the world, obv shitty graphics and i think it was almost a birds-eye view like right above it. used to love it though.

Took about 3hrs to load a footy manager sim for it to crash after half an hour of play time.

Me and my brother shared one of these:

The only games i can remember playing are Pitfall, River Raid, Keystone Kapers (and i only know the name of these because a pic popped up on google just now

)

After that, my brother got a Sega Master System and i got a GameBoy.

Incidentally, just looking through the C16 stuff and I remember now what a shit choice of games there was, loads of C64 C16+4 games, C16? nah. Fucking always the way with me as a kid, wanted a Raleigh Choppper got a fucking Raleigh Budgie instead, wanted a C64, gets a C16

Started out with a zx80, sold that for £12 ffs (wish I'd kept it), then got a zx81 with Sinclair printer (still got it), how the hell did they ever fit chess into 1k

, I remember 3d monster maze was incredible on the zx81, we were too skint to get a speccy tho.

Me and my mates took down the college network by bringing in blobby discs with Quake 2 on them, had about 60+ people playing it at lunch and the servers went poof!

had this weird little game for the c64 called 'lust potenz'. you had to waggle your joystick at a constant speed and a little pixelated bloke shagged his wife in different positions. found a pic of it on google images but it'll probably be deleted if i post it

Excellent stuff. That and Hyper Sports were firm favourites. Preferred to use the keyboard though, these were younger, more innocent days for me, my joystick technique had yet to be perfected!

Commander Keen! Love it, all of those games are boss. Keen 4 was my favourite. And you can still get most of them on steam.

That's the one! There's one called Squish too, just been looking on eBay, could make a few quid selling them! Not that I would ever do that, even if my DK is battered to hell because I couldn't ever open the case so I used to bite the latch

I had the brown one, version two I think. Loved it. My scores went higher and higher and the closer to 1,000 points I got the more excited I was to see what would happen. Finally the day came, I got into the nervous 990's...998...999...then back to fucking 0! Ridiculous. The end of a dream for me that was.

Not as old as some of the stuff on here, but I set up a Win98 VM on my Win 7 PC so that my daughter (now 15

) could have a bit of a nostalgic afternoon and play all her win95/98 Disney CD Roms. Lion King, Pocahontas, Barbie of Swan lake, she had a great day!!! After she'd finished I fished out my old Atari game CD for Win 98. Super Breakout, Pong, what a great day that was!
