Apparantly, an earworm is the tune that's running thru your head for some inexplicable reason, sometimes for days on end. My current earworm has been running thru my head since early January. I wake up singing it, I sing it when I'm cooking... I'm singing it now. I just can't shake it.

Having a near two year old means that I'll wake up singing the Postman Pat theme tune or some ridiculous Brian Cant tune ...'pump it up, pump it up, you know what tyres are' being the current one.

I know all the words to my current earworm - and didn't realise I knew all the words to it until about January time. I woke up one day singing it and it's now two months later and it's still with me. I can't seem to shake it off.

nas- got yourself a gun. uses a sample from the sopranos theme. got it as my ringtone and i'm working my way through all 6 series of the sopranos so i'm hearing the chorus prettty much constantly. still love it though.

EDIT: Although, having just watched the video and seen she's actually quite fit, I no longer mind it as much.

stuck in my head and find myself humming the tune, then absent-mindedly mumbling the one fucking word from it I shouldnt be saying, I know I am going to do it public one of these days and have someone think I was saying it to them, then get filled in by an angry mob.
