I was lucky enough to be in Estadio Vincente Calderon watching the Atleti Valencia game. Kept seeing the scores pop up on the screens, 1-0 and i was still nervous but at 2-0 i relaxed.

Atletico supporters are brilliant and they really get behind the team, some great songs. Really was wishing we would get them in the final. Atletico nearly lost towards the end when Valencia hit the woodwork. Aguero is out for the first game for a yellow for walking off the pitch slowly. So that leaves a lot of work for Forlan.

So glad they (Atleti) are through, great party after the game.

So sorted out flights after the game, but only got them for £150, which is ok, but certainly not cheap. Out on the Weds, back on the Saturday.

See you out there. A bit gutted SwedenRed can't make it. We will have a beer and a song for him.
noticed that about aguero in yesterdays paper, brilliant news kev,are you in the praga?

great choice, few of the bars by the hotel didn't close till about 3a.m.after the match last time we were there,at least 5 of our lot staying there this time, see you there...

We'll look out for you mate, well looking forward to it.  Hope that as many as can travel as it is the Semi's and apart from Madrid being a fun city, full of really sociable people it would be great if we could show some big support over there. In the ground, at the square and generally around the city.

If your buying a ticket everyone then get over there and enjoy it, fed up with the empty spaces of late.

No, not sorted hotel yet, but treating Mrs L to a trip to Madrid as well.

I know where to find you lads though :-)

Definitely meet up with you at some point, probably Plaza Major for a kick about and a beer.

I am not 100% sure but as the form only has a small space for fancard number i would think its one form per one ticket application.

Just staple them together when you hand them in.

Another day trip for me for this one but better than nothing and we saw most of what we wanted in the last two trips so not bothered. Just hoping Nando is fit to play there.  :-\

It does seem a bit odd that they's said Benfice travel proof is not required, given all the hassle they went to Re. scanners etc. I thought they state wther their trial method worked or not - unless they have lost the data! ;) Mind, you, they don't log previous travel until the next round so it may still show up like they said.  :-X

tickets went on sale to atletico supporters today. €50 - €70 for seats behind the goals. i'm guessing our tickets will be in and around that price.

I seem to remember the prices being the same the last time we played there; with lower tier tickets being 50 Euro and upper tier £70 Euro.

I have to say, the 20 Euro difference in ticket prices makes the lack of staggered sale a tad unfair on those with several previous aways.

Someone who bought a £7.50 ticket for Bucharest and didn't go could get a cheap ticket ahead of someone who's been to all games.

From the official site last time round:

"We have received an allocation of 2921 tickets for this All Ticket fixture priced at £42, £50 and £58 each. 54% of the tickets are priced at £50, 28% at £42 and 19% at £58."

Back then the exchange rate was better and 70 euros was £58.  I remember cos I had a 70 euro ticket.

I think the tickets were 50, 60 and 70 euros for the last game.  Looks like we'll be charged similar this time round.

I'm staying in this hostel, €25 each a night for a twin ensuite

I usually book accom through hostelworld and the average overall rating is a good barometer, especially the more reviews. Just make sure it has a high enough rating for location.

i for the life of me couldn't remember it being tiered like this for some reason, turns out the upper tier was the cheapest then as the 50 euro ticket would have been the forty two pounder as like you said a better rate was had back then, will we ever see the euro improve..............

Someone told me that the scanning system failed so they ditched it - and also that they scanned over 4,000 cards !! which would seem strange as there would be no point getting it scanned if you didn't actually buy a ticket
