The album called Welcome is class. Abraxs ahs always been my favourite album by them but now Iam not sure. Dont get me going on Caravanserai .

I saw them at the Bath Festival back in 1970-ish. Not quite as good as the Woodstock performance, but still pretty amazing.
I can also dimly remember seeing them in Liverpool - the Empire, was it? - back in the late 70s, early 80s?

Lucky you. The second song on that album is called Look what up to see whats going down I think. Its absolutley amazing and I love dancing to it.

Bon soir mon ami. Still into arl hippy shite then. Just threw Santana Santana on in your honour. Few of us went to see him over here, got a boss spec right next to the bar, hammered the ale and chonged away all night. Superb. Me bird was pregnant with me lad at the time as well if I remember. His first concert. Hasta la vista tronco.

CARAVANSERAI - what an album. Great to see so many people share my opinion on it - really good album that for me fuses all the best bits of Santana on one handy LP - love the kind of ambient stuff, but some great percussive action and plenty of classic emotional guitar playing. Not one for most so-called 'impressive' guitarists but I think his Latin flavour gives him an interesting edge that lots of 'hero' guitarists lack.
