Merseyside.

I even heard they go to matches sometimes, some anecdote about the lead singer sitting next to some guy talking about the band and how he likes them, and not recognizing the frontman.

Frontman is actually an avid LFC supporter, after a bit of research.

The interviews I heard early on in their career, they were pretty keen on distancing themselves from being Scouse. Anyway, an alright band, dont mind them.

Quality band...

Dreaming Of You
In The Morning
Something Inside Of Me
Bill McCai
Put The Sun Back
Pass It On
Jacqueline
Who's Gonna Find Me

All top tunes.
They don't care about Rafa,
They don't care about fans,
Liverpool football club is in the wrong hands!

Love them, only just discovered this thread. One of the most underrated bands out there. So many of their songs I love, particularly the B sides, one of the few bands who actually do good b-sides as well as a-sides.

Nosferatu
Follow the Sun
Gina Jones
God Knows
Dressed Like a Cow
Sweet Sue
Darkness
When Good Times Go Bad
See Through Bergerac
The Depth of Her Smile
The Voice

Are all classy songs, as well as their well known stuff. Can't even pick my favourite album of theirs because I like them all.

Anyone listen to them here? I quite like them, and they're from Liverpool too.

i have worked with them and never encountered any band anywhere ever that can smoke that much hash and still function.

The Coral have announced their long-awaited return with a new record Distance Inbetween due out on 4th March, 2016:

And a tour too:

-----

Can't wait for this...it's been far, far, too long since there's been new stuff from The Coral.

I think my favourite record of theirs remains The Invisible Invasion, but it's been such a long time that this could sound along the lines of what you'd expect or entirely different altogether...

I kind of lost track of The Coral after Roots and Echos, but very interested/excited to hear this news.

Was supposed to go see them in Belfast, back in 2003 but when we arrived, there was a sign up saying the gig was cancelled.

Really used to like The Thrills back then too, but they haven't released anything in years.

Deffo going to try and catch them on tour! Still listen to a lot of their music - haven't sat down and listened to an album but certainly a lot of singles end up on playlists!

Is the last album decent?

Enjoying revisiting some of their early stuff. Was reminded of seeing them on the NME tour in 2002. Opened for BRMC, Lostprophets and Andrew WK. Mad bill that, in many ways.
