Spanish Football
« on: August 20, 2016, 06:43:31 pm »
Season officially underway. Messi continuing where he left off, brilliant goals, movement and passing. Two goals for him, and two for Luis. Arda seems to waken up as well, another goal for him. 5-1 against Betis.

Suarez hat trick.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

A very new eleven Zidane will start vs Real Sociedad:

Casilla, Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Casemiro, Kroos, Kovacic, Bale, Morata, Asensio.

Those are 5 players who were not starters last season playing from the beginning today.

Some are being played through necessity rather than choice though. Kovacic and Asensio won't be playing when Modric and Ronaldo return. Highly doubt Casilla will either.

I would say all of them are played through necessity, but it's still a good chance to see new talented players (Asensio being the main one for me), and probably a more even match vs Real Sociedad.

Madrid seem to be bringing through loads of talent at the minute. Tad surprising Asensio has leapfrogged Vasquez in the pecking order.

I thought this weekends fixtures were a one off where they staggered the fixtures and all games were shown live (on sky they were anyway). However looking at the next few weeks it seems it carries on, you pretty much have a live Spanish game on whenever you switch on. pro's and cons i suppose but wonder how long it will be before that's introduced here, it's half way there already

Zidanes league record is mental. Played 22, won 19, drawn 2, lost 1. And all while going through rounds and winning a CL!

14 wins in a row in the league. Might get a lot better given their upcoming games too!

Some jeers at the end because they *only* won by one while missing 3 of their best players, they are such spoilt bellends!!
